Mine was on Ebay but was able to buy it outside of Ebay for probably less than it would have gone for if the auction would have gone through. I was specifically looking for a '78-'79 4x4 Crew long bed with A/C, decent paint, body, etc. That's what I got. Mine was "restored" in the early 2000's. Now 10+ years later it's got a 10'-20' paint job. I saw a few '73-'77's that were short beds, non A/C and worse body go for a couple $K less. So I'm ok with what I paid.

I don't know what you paid but your truck was a good deal on craigslist before the guy you bought it from got it and fixed up a couple things and posted it on ebay.

Your truck was listed on c-list for $9k about 4 months before your seller listed it on ebay.

Glad you are happy with it - I wish I had an 8' bed for functionality. I also like your PTO winch....cool toy.

Post some recent pics!

The guy I bought it from put about $3K into it before selling it. He made a couple $K on it. I think by having it on Ebay it increased the selling price by about $1k.

I haven't changed much with it, just some little things. I've got some rockcrusher rims that are getting polished now and will be puttting on 35's (has 295/16's now).

The 8' bed was one of the big selling points. I have a 10' Artic Fox camper that I put on it and didn't want to sell that and get a shortbox version.

Here's a pic with the camper on it.

All longbed 4x4 crews are either converted 2wd longbeds or stretched 4x4 shortbeds.

Ryan's is a stretched 4x4 shortbed.

Well I think I have decided to go with a paint job on my truck... starting to get some of the rubber together so the window seals/door seals dont look all cracked and faded up against fresh paint....

got a few drivltrain issues - axles geared high and burns a bit of oil in the old 400... but manageable - my thoughts are if save up and get it painted, I have the motivation to go through the drivetrain -

they are both (paint/drivetrain makeover) about same money when done right - and the truck drives fine now...why not make it purdy?

Shortbeds are for ladies.... Ha!

7-8k worth of shiny paint is always a motivator........and for me, would make me afraid to use the truck as a truck.

I vote drivetrain!

Not mine, no I don't agree with the price & I unfotunately don't think it's a type-o either.

If this guy can ask this for his I'd say mine is a steal at half that. Any takers????

The oddest thing about that beautiful Crew Cab is where it is, Grand Rapids Mi! Not really the place you'd expect a build of that nature to come from, then again I'm trying to build a crew pre-runner in wet western Wa.

Haven't had the best of luck with the Lottery so I won't be buying it

I did ask if he had a build thread as there's a lot of things I would like more information on about that truck.

I'm sure the cab was purchased somewhere else & brought in. If he's asking $99k I'm sure he's got close to that in it.

Let me know if he has a build thread somewhere. Not even a $60k truck in my mind, but still has a nice touch to 2 to it, and I'd like to see pics of how a couple things were done

Huh? Hopefully that was a bit of sarcasm there with the major sarcasm being on the "ruined" part.

My truck is FAR from a prerunner. A chase truck maybe, but not a true prerunner at all. This one is mine. It's a solid axle 4wd with a 6bt cummins in it. About the opposite of any good prerunner...

It might seem odd of where that truck was built but there is a huge sand dune near grand rapids. Cant remember the name off hand but I know its got the word silver in it but I do think that truck is more for the southwest. Good luck to him trying to get 99k for it.
