I guess that means that everyone's trucks are running great and they are out playing .
I found the wheel and tires I was looking for. Now I just have to get it running smoothly again.
That's a nice truck u have there. Is that a 78 or 79 F350? What all have u done to it?
All I did to it was try to fix all the stuff the db I bought it from messed up.
I shouldn't say that. He was a nice guy. I think he tried. But didn't have the resources at hand to do it correctly.
At least everything is put back to stock.
Seats pannels glove box...for a glove box, it's nice...
No rust. Undercoating. But there's so many leaks and seals that need replacing.
I've put 3k miles on it since I got it. He put a 400m in it for some reason. I did new plugs wires dist. small things.
I like it. My wife hates it. Haha
I'll run through everything over the winter.
It's a 1976 (Newin76)
I wish I had a "build" thread. But. I think I saved $10000 by taking advantage of the situation the builder was in.
I haven't mounted those seats in question, but having done a few custom seat mounts I'll tell you it'll probably get "fun" with these. They seem to not only be 2 separate pieces/seats, but also look to fold forward & therefore have some locking mechanisms for that in their base/mount.
To mount them you'd be looking at doing a custom rack/bracket that tied the 2 pieces together & then bolted to the floor. They seats would bolt to this bracket/rack, and my guess is you'd want to build it to replace the factory brackets on the Yukon seats.
While not quite the same you may want to search for the 40/20/40 seat mount thread I made here a while back. It was for my front seats (out of a 2004ish superdookie), but the front & rear mounting patterns are the same in these trucks, so just pretend it's for the rear It will at least give you an idea of what you're looking at with trying to get those seats in.
I fairly certain that's what I'd do. Build a "subframe" that bolts to the floor then the seats bolt to that. Was more wondering if someone had them in their trucks just so I could see how they fit aesthetically. I haven't had the opportunity to measure any yet, but I'm thinking those third row seats would be pretty narrow and there would be a gap in between them. But not opposed to that either.
The PO/Builder must have deleted the in-cab fuel tank because I thought they still had them in the cab until like 77 or 78. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
Ya it is... I was looking around and found them on ebay. led so should be bright and last awhile. picked up three of them. there cheap and they show it. they come chrome plastic. so i sandblasted the out side and sprayed it whith some satin....

I bought local in salt lake city. Laird plastics. I would think any industrial plastic place is going to have it in stock. Just standing there waiting for my piece to come up I was looking around, they had about anything you could think of and about any thickness up to about 5 inch. I was thinking all kinds things cutting boards, skid plates lol I did look at HD, they had a few things I was going to try but then I remembered passing laird a few times doing work stuff.

Thank you, It turned out really well. Thank god my original boards were in good enough shape to use as a stencil. That made it much easier.
I am hoping to do some work to my crew this winter/spring:
1.) Remove 3" of spring lift and correct shackle angles and steering angles
2.) Paint and install my bushwacker fender flares
3.) Install my ported/big valve iron heads on the 460 after confirming piston dish.
4.) Clean up the wiring and fix the gas gauge
5.) Recurve the dizzy - never messed with a mallory unilite but I imagine the mechanical wt setup is the same as OEM dizzy
6.) Add some additional exhaust hangers and fix an exhaust leak.
7.) Get it PA inspected and have some fun with family in tow. They have been begging me to ride in it since I drove it home.
