Thanks Eli1644. I wanted to go with coil springs because of the better ride quality, but if I ever decided to do a cummins swap down the road than I would not be able to fit the cummins into the narrow frame of a 2wd truck, but I don't plan on doin a cummins any time soon, the 460 has got plenty of power in her.
Here is a link to one of my pictures, I dont know if the link will work or not, im a newbie.

Welcome to the FTE. Thats a nice truck you have there. I didnt know the rear window defrost was an option.
You ask how long it will take to do a frame of restro? Well it all depends on you. You can do it in a month or till the end of time. The biggest thing that slows people down is money and their other jobs they have to work also. Start a build thread in the 73 -79 section because if you have any problems there are more people there that can help you.

Finally got lizard skin and fatmat done on my crew cab. It took all day... But pretty happy with it.
I want to do the back wall also but I don't want the shinny fatmat to be showing. I'll see what the upholstery guy tells me when I take it to him. And no roof yet. I'm gonna do that next... But I'm having trouble scraping off all the glue from the old insulation. Any ideas? I tried warm water and soap but nothing... Might just have to take a grinder to it.

Thats a nice looking crew you have there. Just wanted to mention that the 2wd frames are the same width as the 4x4 highboys, it just has some different crossmembers. Also the cummins will fit in there just fine. I did a 4x4 conversion on my 2wd crew (and a cummins conversion too) and ended up leaving the 2wd crosmember in place. I went with leaf springs on my conversion, but i'm sure if you got creative you could make coils work....just food for thought.
Hello. I have a '77 f250 2WD Crewcab, shortbed, 460, a/t. I'm wanting to upgrade the seats in it and was wondering up to what year Ford seats would just bolt in. Any help on the topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Seats up to 1996 from a F150. Seats up to 1997 from the F250 & F350.
These are a bolt-in, direct swap. Most say you will have to remove them from their tracks and bolt them to your stock tracks. I know two guys who used the seat and tracks from a 1996 truck. They bolted in and fit great.

That would be up to 98 F-250/350's as they did make them before the Super Duties.
