I know this is the wrong forum, but in a frantic search via Google, this thread came up, and I was hoping one of you had seen something like this before in a similar tiny little inferior truck !
Not inferior at all! They are perfect if used in the right places for the right purposes.
BTW, I could even provide you with a photo of where the unlock relay is on a SuperDuty! But alas, not a B-II. :-((
When I called Ford today, it took the parts guy 45 minutes to try to locate the part. I don't think he found the right part... he said Ford calls it a "breaker." I did find a breaker behind the carpet above the passenger foot well, and when it tripped, my engine stopped. Reset, the engine started right up. But I don't think he actually found the right part when he gave me the number... AND, he said it was NLA...
Remember also, it could be a bad NC contact in the Lock relay, too, or a bad ground to the pigtail wire on that one, too.
These relays might be standard Bosch SPDT automotive-types, available at any parts store, so I would stay away from your "friendly" Ford dealer for them.
But I think we've hijacked this thread, and should take it to the other forum from here on.
Thanks Pop...I'll give my door locks a shot or two of WD today. I do remember reading about this in the loooooonnnnggg door actuator thread, but by the time I got through it all I was a little wacky.

This was a great fix. I did the 5 locks in my wifes 2000 Excursion earlier this week. The first one (passenger rear) took a little while but the drivers side rear door only took about 30 minutes. The front passenger took a little longer and the drivers front about an hour...dang padded entry wiring. The back hatch was not all that bad either. While I was on a roll I did dads 2001 F250 extended cab. I noticed his truck had a hole in the door right where the actuator is which made it much easier...20 minutes start to finish! Now I need to figure out how to fix that back large window motor on the Excursion...
So glad I found this site. My door locks haven't worked in years. can't believe how such a little thing can make you feel so much happier with your truck!
