Hey Vic- just a note on superchip dealers... I've called three in my area concerning return policy and only one was willing to take it back staight-up. And that was only after calling the Superchips customer support to confirm he could take a return.
Another wanted a 20% restocking fee and the third said no returns if the product was ever used cause then he can't sell it as new.
Fortunately FTE forum users get to see the kind of service you are willing to perform for us. But I'd recommend some sort of campaign to dealers to help them understand this policy.

Any superchips tuner bought from a superchips dealer is supported by superchips directly for tuning issues or repair or replacement at no charge.
A proof or purchase is required.
If it's a refund you are looking for, it must be done at the dealer the tuner was purchased through.
Basically, the warranty is handled at no charge for life (up to and including replacement) through superchips directly, but any refunds must go to the dealer and their policies may vary.

If you buy it through this site's sponsor, www.motorhaven.com, not only do you get overnight shipping included in the price but there's also a 30 day money back guarantee.
No doubt on both accounts (webmaster & Vic). Much like the forum here, I was chatting with the local shops to ask their opinions on performance items. To me, one standard of service is a reasonable return policy. My point was only that since Superchips stands behind their product with 30days, I would hope their dealers would too. But it is a free country.
Incidentally, motorhaven is also less expensive than the locals, and there's no tax from the internet purchase.
so there it is- good service from the manufacturer AND from the online vendor. Sounds good to me.

I buy a lot of things online now...it's just cheaper than walking in a performance shop and easier.
I order across state lines too whenever possible, to avoid tax
I got one for you guys. I bought one of the first “Superchips” tuners for a 6.0 in April. I didn’t use it for very long because it made the truck surge on hills, in tow safe mode, between 2800 and 3200rpm pulling a 10,000lb trailer. The truck would tow fine with the stock tune. With a busy summer I never got around checking with “Superchips” about the tuner. Well last week I had a reflash to what is supposed to be the latest program and I thought I would try the tuner again. To my surprise it would not load. It gave me a message to contact “Superchips” and tell them of an E-6D error and codes VXAM7N2 and TQASONZ. Needless to say I will be contacting “Superchips”, but I hoped some of you guys might know what is going on? Pete in Colorado

This means you have new stock files that the tuner does not have tuned files for in it's database.
Call Superchips for an RA # and send the tuner in.
I will make and confirm new files for it and send the tuner back to you.
You will be pleasesd with the results.
I am getting the same error code (I knew it would happen, no big deal) after I had my reflash...I have the numbers given by the tuner written down; What address do I mail the tuner and the error codes to to have it updated?
WOWWWW!!!!! What a read. Took me 3 days on and off at work to read the WHOLE thing (thank God for an understanding Boss...... myself ).
What a thread....... I am exhausted!!!!
Oh well, here are the questions I have that have been asked but seem to have gone unanswered.
1) Will SC consider online updates and/or mods?? "Vic", from what I read, I know that you specifically customize the flash for each trucks but if you get reflashed at the dealership, would it not be easier to plug and play via internet??
2) I am quite convinced about the benefits of the SCMT but would like to find out from the old users, how many times they had error messages and what kind of cost they incured for postage??
3) Stupid question but a valid one to ask. If you already know that you want softer shift and will be cruising at that dreaded 35mph, do you need to buy the tuner, flash it and then send it back to SC???
4) Ken, I am still patiently awaiting the big surprise.... Am I just reading it in the wrong thread???
5) Does anyone have experiences to share of SC with the 2004 F-250 Harley Edition??
Thanks Ken for the A1 thread
Thanks Vic for the expertise
And Thanks to all that participate
The knowledge base is incredible. I only wished I had such access for my profession.
