For many (including myself) their favorite program is the middle program.

The PERF does make more power, but another 20 or 30 HP is hard to feel once you are making that much power.
The tuner comes with 3 programs so you can choose which ones you like to use and when you want to use them.

Does the SCMT clear all codes and stored info when you return it to stock, because when I took my truck in because the boost tube blew off and dented my hood the tech said that when he scaned it the was a code are some stored info that said my truck made 40 PSI of boost is this possible?? The service advisor was telling me that ford could void my warranty because of this, which I know is false. But is the tech telling the truth about my computer saying the truck made 40 PSI, which sounds high to me. Any info would be nice.

Not unless you are having an issue with drivability.
Most truck will have no problems with any firmware version.

This happened to a STOCK truck at a local Ford dealer.
Ford uses a faulty clamp, andthis is THEIR fault.

Even at max load in the performance file, most trucks will not surpass 32 psi. I've seen a few hit 34.

If you are stacking devices, this could be the reason you hit 40.
.....Or the tech could be lying to you.
Denying warranty claims is often handled like "fishihg" at the dealer.
They throw out some "bait" and see if you'll bite. They try to make you feel lucky you still have a warranty, and they make you pay for that repair.

Thanks for the info, so does ford have a way to find out how much boost was made after I remove my tuner? Any help would be great.

After it's been set back to stock and you perform a few drive cycles they will not be able to tell the truck was previously not stock.

Unhappy Locked out!!!

Vic or somebody help! I recieved 5.03 version update last week from superchips and it worked great until now. Last Saturday I installed the Tow/haul mode for a few days and then on Tuesday I installed the economy program and it worked great . Tonight I went to in stall my stock program and the tuner read E-3A CALL SUPERCHIPS - NOT ORIGINAL TRUCK/PROGRAM. What is going on guys? My programmer has just been sitting in my office and my truck has not had any thing done to it by Ford or been in for servicing . the programmer says on the display economy installed , vin locked, but when it trys to communicate to change programs it just reads E-3A . HELP!!! How am I going to get my stock program back? I have the lastest and greatest update and I am stuck in economy mode.

Thanks in advance ,
A3upper

Good luck a3upper... keep us posted on the fix

If I may ask and not start an argument: these trucks don't come with auxilary gauges (though I agree they should), and people tow the snot out of them without trouble. Is the added HP/torque of the superchip/predator in tow or economy mode really enough to push past safe use? I certainly understand that the performance modes may.

It seems like both chip programmers should be okay without exhaust mods, too. Am I fooling myself? Both users' manuals mention exhaust upgrades associated with top performance mode.

BTW- I've tinkered with cars all my life- but this is my first venture into diesel country. Sure seems like many things are different here.

It will if it doesn't let you have your stock programming back!

If this happened (lets say you programmed your truck and dropped your tuner in the lake and couldn;t set it back to stock), we could still recover your PCM to stock so you could do your business at the dealer.

Call superchips for an RA.
They will set up your tuner for recovery (at no cost to you), and from then on everything will work normally. You'll be able to program it and set it back to stock at anytime.

But why would it just lock-up like that just sitting on the table for a few days? It worked just a couple days before.

Thanks,
