Overkill2s truck thread...
that I looked at that PDF for the 2017 6.7 OBD Summary and saw that the Motorcraft secondary fuel filter is rated for 2 microns. This is from Ford themselves. I thought it was rated at 4 microns. I already had the 2016MY one on my computer because I found these OBD PDFs when I was looking into something for Bitter Diesel but never looked at the pages with the 6.7 engine schematics that showed that fact.
Here's the one for 2017MY:
It's the same for my truck, 2016MY.
https://www.fordservicecontent.com/f...M1701-2017.pdf
page 8 of the PDF shows it as 2 microns under the hood. So those replacing their OEM setup may not be getting the same filtration with every different brand of filter they buy. You already had a good filter under the hood.
I left my engine bay filter in, and installed an additional filter between the engine bay and tank filter.
I started to replace the engine bay filter but after a few hose pop off events, decided to roll back to oem setup.

Quantity+- ADD TO CARTThis is a super high quality aftermarket harness built here in the US by a high end wiring guru. Upgraded battery terminals that wont rot out like oem. Wires are gaff taped to reduce pinches and damage from rubbing on one another. The wire itself is a much higher grade, higher strand count and more flexible so it doesnt crack or split like OE. These use a replaceable fuse instead of the fuseable link the OE has. All around these are designed to eliminate all of the failure points the OEM harnesses are known for. These do not come with the factory plastic channels, you will need to pull those from your existing harness. We have these instock and ready to ship so that you can get your truck back on the road!
This is a replacement for the OEM harness part # CC3Z-14300-CC
Thought of all the recent threads of guys having problems that deal with the trouble prone dual battery harnesses that our trucks have. Enjoy!
I just printed out a copy of the page for future reference if need be.
Apparently the first gen lights leaked. The second gen, called the Platinum series, is supposed to have a rubber gasket. The screw is under the lens cover. I got ahold of Wicked Warnings, who I first saw these on one of their YouTube videos, and they said they no longer recommend them. I guess that's why they are are sale all over.

They come in Clear, Amber and Smoke lens covers with the Amber LEDs. I guess they also come with Red and Blue also but I'm not interested in those. These appear to be the first gen lights.
Another pic 1st gen set.
Not the best pic. this is the Platinum series with no screw for lens cover. I'm wondering if these don't stay tight onto the rubber base???
The strobe module and the harnesses.
If anyone has any info or input on these, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks.
There's no thin blue line anything on my truck. Too many easily triggered folks these days. I like my truck with inflated tires and no key marks.

I think Arod has a video with the flashing light module
unfortunately, in NY, no flashing, rotating, alternating lights are allowed on regular use vehicles.
Yeah they are for plow trucks. I'd only use them when the blade was on and pushing snow. Bone was just busting chops as I don't want blue ones. Only want amber flashing lights. I used to use one when I was plowing with my 96.

Okay @speakerfritz , this is for you. Maybe those diagrams from Ford are not correct about the under hood filter at 2 microns.
This is post #73 which states that the underhood filter is 4 microns.
