Overkill2s truck thread...
CO2 is generated in the production of vehicle components, associated services, and disposal of waste.
on one hand CO2 levels are rising since recorded history and there is an assumption that rise is tied into the Industrial Age.
but temps have risen for millions of years at a 28000 year cycle …. We are currently at the peak of one of the 28000 year cycles.
at the same time of global alarm for global warming….we have another little known cyclic process founding on.. sun spots are declining and expected to reduce solar radiation that reaches the earth.
so….on one hand the earth is warming up due to the 28000 year cycle…..but at the same time….the earth is cooling down due to the reducing sun spot activity.
im hoping that this will all equal out….the heat gains by the 28000 year cycles will be countered by the cooling due to reduced sun spit activity…..meaning….everything should stay the same.

The climate change folks never talk about the big orange driver of our weather that's in the sky; the Sun.

If anyone really believes that these companies and governments that promote and push green energy are really about caring for the people and the environment, you're sure smoking something.
Anyways, there's a great book that's linked to on The Heartland Institute website. It's written by scientists who would be known as science deniers by the AOCs of the world. Here it is.

Here's the hose i sourced from a local hydraulic supply store. It was the better hose at $8.50/foot instead of the cheaper stuff at $4.50/ft. It's from Eaton. I couldn't source any from the Auto parts stores but I didn't check them all though. I called the hydraulic store, they had it so i went with them.
Ok here's the can mounted where I'm going to leave it. Ive got it on a piece of 2x6 on top of the fuse panel lid. I have some rags rolled up to keep it in place. I have an idea for the catch can to keep it in one spot. I cleaned the inside of the can to see how it works. I'm not anticipating any problems. This is for the S&S DPK kit can mount where the catch can mount was.
More later...
I went with these for the hoses. I stopped at Tractor Supply and they had the Chicom clamps with the steel screw. I passed on those. These were from Lowes and American made. All stainless steel. Thicker clamp band too.
Hoses are in. There's enough slack to push them towards the firewall to place them behind the 2 micron filter with the S&S DPK kit. I'm thinking this is going to work. I'll take another pic tomorrow and post up to show what I mean.
A picture from the instructions. The filter comes out pretty far so the hoses can be run behind it. The can will have to be rotated so the ports are angled towards the firewall. I'll post more pics to illustrate this...
The installation is not complete. I'm going to cover the hoses with cable loom. I've got to solidify the mounting for the can where it's at. I'm thinking Velcro to hold the piece of wood to the fuse panel lid and the same for the catch can to the wood.
A work in progress guys. I have to see how she does with the move and the hose extensions. Stay tuned...

From the 11 to 16 instruction set, it appears that there's ample room behind the filter housing for the hoses to run where i have the oil catch can.

So I searched and found out more about this. It appears they, Parker Racor, offers these filters in 2, 10 and 30 micron ratings. When I find out more, I'll post up here.

I have not installed the kit yet. Been working on my house.
I'm on my phone. So if it can't be read, I'll try and find it online.

Just passing along for FYI...
So I'm assuming this is on the end of the fuel rail near the engine filter.
For the 17 and up...
Since I will be there when the S&S kit is installed, I'm going to look into this for myself.

EDIT
Okay I stand corrected. That fitting is NOT on the fuel rail but on the fuel filter itself...
