I must add that I believe with those Centramatic's on the hubs, my truck has NEVER ridden smoother IMO.
Do the centramatics make any noise?

Absolutely none Jolly. The new tires were balanced prior to because my friend, who's shop I go to, wasn't sold on them. I'm going to have him take my truck for a ride one day and see for himself.

I think my truck has never driven smoother... as smooth as a one ton truck can ride. I'm sold on them.

Balancing your wheels is a good idea anyways. I've read some users claim that Centramatic's says to not balance the tires because that will interfere with the Centramatic balancers, but that is poppycock. I even mentioned this to Centramatic's when I had them on the phone discussing a problem I was having with Discount Tire, and the rep confirmed my stance. Balancing the wheels just puts the wheel close to being balanced, and that leaves all the bead weight in the Centramatic balancers to distribute themselves as a fine tuning to the balance. Then later on if you pick up rocks or throw a wheel weight, the Centramatics will compensate. In other words, why not balance the wheels to allow the full capacity of the centramatic balancers to offset rocks, mud, snow, or loss of wheel weights and not immediately make them compensate for a wheel a few ounces out of balance?

I've heard them swish when I held the centramatic in my hand and rotated it, but I've never heard them even with the windows open and driving slow. Engine and tire noise seem louder than what I detected when I held them. You must have exceptional hearing!

I'd have to say I'd agree with that!

You gotta go to a ski resort in the mountains where you are to see this stuff...

It's magic white stuff that falls from the sky. But when it hits you, it won't kill you like the freeway above your head during an earthquake.

I've got say, if they make noise. I sure as **** cannot hear it. I usually have the radio on. I've slowed down a lot with the cost of fuel but I'm not driving slow.

Two days, today and yesterday, a literal heat wave here with it being in the 40s. Lot of melt off yesterday with the sun being out.

If you're satisfied with the way your truck rides now, I'd do the cold pipe first. Which brand you going with?

I know what the rear end wheel hop feels like. I experienced it when I first got my truck with the Michelins on. I took it back to the dealer and all they did was throw more weight at each wheel. It didn't solve it.

Then I had a friend who broke the bead on the wheels, rotate the tires 180 degrees, remount and rebalance with a lot less weight. It rode way better.

At one point, I bought cheap Nankangs All terrains that were severe winter rated. But it had the rear wheel hop as well. Cheap Chicom made tires with great tread but rode like crap. I sold them. I bet the Centramatic balancers would have solved the problem.

I know how my truck has rode before but I don't think it ever felt as smooth as now IMO. But I think you should do you CAC cold pipe first brother, especially if you are not having ride issues now.

Thanks Dave. My truck has the Goodyear wranglers that it came with. They seem to ride ok but tread life will be an issue. When they're done I'll replace them with something that's not Goodyear.

For the cold side pipe I've looked at S&B, H&S, Sinister, and Pusher and planning to go with H&S.

No problem.

If I had to do it again, I'd go with the SPE. I like that it has ports in the piece that goes on the throttle body if I ever decided to go with a methanol injection system. .
