On torque pro did you have to type in the codes for additional PIDs or do they pop up
Tugly has some great threads about TP you may want to check out.
I never installed TP on the A6 and uninstalled it on my other devices. From what I remember, there is a set of PSD PID's that must be initiated. Then, there are custom PID's that need to be established by typing in the formula, unit of measurement, etc.

I have the PSD PIDs working. I’m intrigued by torque but your correct, it’s a finicky thing compared to forscan
It would be nice if FSL was more aesthetically pleasing and customizable like TP, but I really don't mind FSL. I don't constantly watch the gauges, I pay attention to the road. Honestly, I don't even watch my ISSPRO pillar gauges anymore, I just drive the truck and glance over to them from time to time.
When I post pictures of FSL, that is for the benefit of the community to perhaps shed some light in a question or concern they may have. If I am data logging, I minimize the FSL gauges.
So, I guess I do the opposite of constantly watching, I constantly ignore them. It is a tool and utility to have FSL or TP in the dashboard in my mind and that is the way I use it. The specialized tool stays in the toolbox except for those 1 or 2 times a year it is needed.
I run live Google Maps on the screen most of the time and sometimes I just have the subdued American flag background up.
I am by no means an expert on any of this stuff, just someone who tried something after a few other FTE'rs tried it first. I have become familiar with it simply by using it and learning it.
I hope anyone/everyone that installs an Android head unit if any brand is happy with it too.
Looking at google earth satellite view while parked deep in the woods is pretty fun. I’m scoping out hunting spots with this thing now...
You might be able to use Google Earth... I am not sure if it is available for Android or not.
Another great app for finding off the beaten path spots is Avenza Maps. It is more of a geography and topology type map, but my BIL (Game Warden) uses it a lot and shared the capabilities with me.
Headed out from Orofino ID in a bit east on Hwy 12 where there is no cell signal for most if the 100 miles of winding road. Beautiful drive as the river is on one side and the mountain on the other.
Click the little square icon in the lower left map area to switch to satellite view anytime you have WiFi. I assumed that is the same as google earth but I don’t really know what I’m talking about.
I can't get my ATOTO front camera to record, and am wondering if any of you have had an issue. I have the microphone disabled, but I can easily enable it from the menu, and the camera records sound fine. The camera is showing disabled, but pressing the icon to enable it has no effect.
The radio is an S8 and the camera is the same ATOTO one Sous and others are using. I'm running the following code:
Camera firmware – IM23(20191127) HD DVR app – 1.2.3-20200927
Are these the latest? Any experience with a similar issue?

I’ll snap a pic later when I get in the truck.
Not the same at all... I believe Google Earth is only available on a computer, but not sure. I'll investigate more later when we are not traveling.
Satellite view is like a toddlers version of Google Earth.
EDIT: Looks like there is a slim version of Google Earth for Android.

Mark, I am on the road traveling right now, so my level of help I can provide may be very substandard.
I believe that us the right app to use, have you tried selecting the non-HD DVR app?
is the camera mounted to the windshield already? If not, can you try to plug the camera into the front facing USB port?
Which USB port is the camera plugged into now?
ATOTO support is very quick to respond and were very helpful for me. If you send in a ticket, be sure to provide purchase date and order number.
Thanks Sous. The camera is mounted to the windshield, but I can't remember which port it's connected to. I may have posted that earlier, and will check. In any event, other than not automatically, or manually, recording, it works fine. It displays video when the app is started, and I can take stills from the camera and view them from the SD card. It behaves as if automatic recording (the default) has been turned off, and can't be turned back on, but I can't figure out how to change it.
You are right about ATOTO support. I sent them a note today, but I don't usually get a reply 'till the middle of the night.
I have talked about map overlays while using live Google Maps in the past and thought I would share a bit more details.
Apps AllStays or whatever your favorite RV/map app is are great to use, but using a "My Maps" overlay from Google allows for you to set your own points and icons.
For example, the maps below are points that observing "My Maps" which cam be overlaid onto live Google Maps with the push if three buttons.
Go to saved>maps>select your map. I currently have three and the one I used to show you is "Way Out Camping".
The rest stops that I would be comfortable with my family stopping for the night are red circles with a P in them.
Friends and family are green houses.
Previously screened camping locations are blue pins.
If you want to go to a "My Maps" location, just overlay the map and select that as the destination for the route.
If you look at the blue dot over the red P to the southwest if Helena MT, that is where we are tonight.
Mark, they are in China best I could tell, so my questions were answered at similar times.
So, everything works OK, just the camera is not recording automatically?
How do you know it isn't recording?
When you open the app, is there a red flashing icon?
On the side of the camera near the headliner, is there a small red light flashing?
Thanks Sous. I have the batteries disconnected for my HPOP swap, so I won't be able to check whether there is a flashing red icon on the HD DVR screen for awhile, but I'm nearly certain there is not. What I am completely certain of is that the red light on the side of the camera is on when powered, but does not flash. I'm assuming that means it is not recording. The other way I know it isn't working is that the video folder is empty, and it should have a lot of 5 minute clips. The still picture folder has the couple of stills I've taken from the camera, and I can see video when the app is up, so I know the camera works and the SD card is good, but video recording is turned off/disabled/or elsewise not working. I'll see what ATOTO support says. I expect a reply from them by morning.
