When I look at the bulb chart in the manual for reverse it shows 3157 or W21W. Should I have specifically went with the W21W?
IIRC that is gonna be a 7440 bulb. Some places (perhaps erroneously) recommend a different bulb (as is common with the first and last model years of a generation) such as a 3157. Which doesn’t make any sense since that 3157 is a dual filament bulb like a tail/brake function.
Well duh, my manual identifies the difference if I’d pay attention.
3157 is for Chassis cab only and w21w is for Pickup only. That’s why rhe 3157 didn’t fit correctly.
Has anyone experienced any problems with heat from the fanless LED? I’ve read they can get up to 170° to 200° on the heat sink. The front of the bulb inside the housing seem to be fine and run cooler than the halogens.
Drove 1 hour to work with my beamtechs on in 65 degree weather. The heat sinks on the bulbs were maybe 80-90 degrees. I could easily touch them with my hand. I dont see anything to be concerned with. I will check them again in the future once spring and summer time heat sets in.

My '18 XLT pickup had 3157 style brake and front turn signals. I know this because I ordered the 7440 style for the front and had to return them for 3157 LED replacements. Not sure if I'll replace the front cuz I don't feel like pulling the grille again. Rear are the same 3157. Best bet is to pull a tail light and confirm which bulbs are there.

Did my Beamtech fogs and headlights today. A breeze for fogs and passenger side. Drivers side was a headache, had to remove the battery to get enough leverage to remove the halogens...

You can get to headlights and turn signals without removing the grille? Just the battery? Super Duty, correct?
Got my inline Canbus Filters in my 2016 F350 for the FM Radio Whine.
The 9005 Fog Lamp Bulbs didn’t seem to make noise so I didn’t install them.
BeamTech shorted me of coarse by not sending the 4 inline canbus things for my 2019 :-(
Did you request them to send some? As far as I know they are only sending them to people who have had issues and and contacted beamtech about it. I know none of my sets came with them either fogs or headlight bulbs. Luckily I have had no issues.
