In closing, if you have a Platinum, the only bulbs that are not LED from the factory are the license plate bulbs and the interior vanity mirrors.
Thanks for that information. As for the license plate bulbs, I see no reason to make the license plate easier to read LOL.

Huge post here, lots of good information. I seem to have confused myself. I was about to order Beamtech's for my 2019 F-350 when I discovered something.

I went to Beamtech's web site, I found there are two different types of H13 headlight bulbs. S1 for $38.99 and J1 for $42.99. One looks like the heat sink area is an oval, the other is a circle. Is the more expensive bulb going to have something built in so you don't get radio noise like some have posted? What's the difference, which one is better?

A similar thing with the fog light bulbs.. H10 and 9005 Why two bulbs that are the "same" as someone a few posts prior commented on. What's the difference? They are both the same price. Which is better?

I read a lot hoping to make things clearer with information shared by others, and now I find myself more confused???

The Four H13 & Two 9005 inline canbus decoders fixed the Radio static & the flicker in the camera screen.

On High Beam : the camera still shows just a little bit of flicker but not nothing like before.

I can live with it now

They list the lumens as a pair for some silly reason.
4,000 each. That’s them maybe I was wrong at 3500.
Going off memory lol

2019f350, good points you bring up.

i think / guess the round heat sink H13 H/L LED Bulbs are Fan Type Cooled (noisy & unnecessary) & the Oval (like mine) are Fanless.

The H10 & 9005 are the same bulb from my understanding.
I think the H10 is an Old Part Numbering System. Others may can correct my “theory” lol
Both H10/9005 (much brighter) are actually hi beam headlamp bulbs (for different applications) but will fit in 9140/9145/9155 fog lamps with no problems.

Remember to not confuse halogen watts with LED watts for brightness.
this is how much power the bulb uses.
Lumens is the Output / Brightness of any bulb.

Both of the H13 bulbs are fanless. I received an email reply about the S1 vs J1 H13 Beamtech head light bulbs.

The reply is:
Hi,
all of them have their advantage.
the j1 have the small size,it is easy installing.
the S1's power is bigger,so the brightness is better.
regards.

They have not yet replied concerning the fog light bulbs, H10 vs 9005.

Auto & Household 120v LED is constantly improving in quality & price.

I have around 750 Bulbs in my Six Poultry Houses.

I’ve probably spent $30k in light bulbs since I started in 1997.

LED price is now 1/3rd of what they were when they first came out

After reading this thread I installed Beamtech 9005’s in the fogs and H13 in the headlights. Also added the switchback Morimoto’s in the turn signals. The headlights are a huge improvement over the stock bulbs. I used Forscan to eliminate the hyper flash, turn on Bambi mode and adjust the tire size up to the factory 20” wheels/tires combo (just installed 35x12.5r20 Milestar Patagonia MT’s that are 34.8”). The tire adjustment has my speedometer dead on as it was a couple off with the new wheels/tires.

I’m really liking my BeamTech H13 & 9005 with canbus decoders

i kept stock turn signals as I didn’t want hyperflash issues & didn’t see any need to change them.

Ive been wanting to do this swap for awhile now. But waiting on feedback with driving in the snow. Whether or not there is enough heat from the bulbs to melt the snow from the lenses (like the halogens do) or if snow just builds up. Any help is appreciated.
