I have the headlights out, bumper off while I wait for other parts. last night, I put in the Beamtech lights ....they are 3 sided. How are you placing them in so the low beam is left to right?.....or maybe the better question is witch way are you placing the single high beam LED

All four headlights are combination high/low beams. In other words, all four headlights are are either on high beam or low beam. And all four headlights are always On.
The Beamtechs should be oriented so that the LEDs are facing left and right (project in the horizontal plane) when mounted in the reflectors.
Has anybody tried any packages from headlight revolution? I've heard good things, but haven't heard much on here.
Seems to be hit or miss. Some had no problems and liked them. Some had multiple problems and sent them back. They also didn't seem to be impressed by customer service.
There are threads here about HR, but they haven't been brought up in some time. Searches here are a PIA, but you can find them with some time.
This was the response I received from Beamtech based on the message I submitted through Amazon:
Hi,
LED bulb is a refitting part of car, not original one. And the headlight structure of the vehicles in the world are different. So some customers may meet problem when installing.
could you take the picture about your original halogen lamp compare to our headlight?
then we can check and try our best to help you.
regards.
Really? How are they going to be able to tell how tight their bulb fits in the headlight housing from a side-by-side comparison picture?? I think I'll just take them out and send them back. The last thing I want is moisture building up inside my headlight.
Beamtech responded with essentially the same message as stated in the post above. I will pull one out and send them photos. Perhaps I can use some calipers to measure the differences.
If you find these headlights are loose, it's more than likely not the fitting with the housing, but rather the inner section with the outer section of the build itself. The inner section is only held in place with one small set screw so it will wobble. I left mine alone and I suppose that is a known part of the design.

So...you are 100% correct. I took the truck back apart today and was going to package the Beamtechs up and return them. It is the inner section of the bulb that wiggles within the outer section of the bulb...not the bulb within the headlight housing. It was very deceiving. the inner section is secured to the outer section with one small screw. Using 2 or 3 screws would eliminate this issue entirely, but they're only built with 1. I am concerned about the vibration from the rough riding suspension causing this one tiny screw to become loose over time. We'll see. I put it back together and will drive with the Beamtech LEDs and see what happens.
The color and brightness of these bulbs is great, and I'm completely happy when the brights are on too. I did turn on the bambi mode using FORScan, so the fog lights are on with the brights. It's a pretty amazing difference over the stock halogens for only $100.

Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to add several more set screws around the perimeter of the bulb to help stabilze it. I realize there is only one tapped hole in the inner metal tube but having more set screws that just press against it might help.
Did you install the 9005 headlights or 9005 fog lights in your fog light housings? I went with the 9005 fog lights and they seem kind of weak. I am considering going to the brighter 9005 headlights.

Maybe half a drop of thread locker wouldn't hurt either.

Not that I wouldn't be concerned about vibration, but the headlights on these trucks are not completely sealed like previous generations. They actually have vent holes in them. First day I drove my truck home, I had condensation in the lenses, and its natural on these, they have always dried up.
Been following this post for quite a long time. Getting ready to order some of these LED lights in.
I have 1 question: are you guys who have made the change over getting "flashed" a lot by on coming traffic? Its kind of annoying to me when I come up to rig with "white light". They are so bright you can't tell if they are on high beams or not. On my last SD --I was getting flashed a lot when towing ---until I put some air bags on the truck to level it out. With 4 ---LED headlights coming at you on these new Super Duties---seems like you might not make to many friends on the road. I would like the white light, for sure --but not the constantly getting flashed part. What have you guys found on this?
thanks!
