I'm really late to class. Cramming has made me go cross eyed. I've looked at a lot of the graphs that have been posted and have a question about FIPW.
Today while watching AE on the way to work when giving it WOT my PW dropped to 2 and stayed there until letting off. That doesn't seem to be what others graphs are showing. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is this abnormal and if so what would be the cause? IDM? Stock Remans and the latest version of AE. During cruise PW was in the 3+ range.
I'll record some data on the way in to work tomorrow. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere in class. After about 20 pages you can't see straight!
That does sound odd. I think I recall there are two PIDs that have something to do with the fuel injection, but one is not of use to us. The fact that you get a reading suggests you picked the right one, but it's worth a visit to the list to make sure you have Fuel Injector Pulse Width (without #1, #2, or anything else in the PID title).
The FIPW for stock sticks with a stock tune maxes out at about 3ms at WOT, with between 2400 and 2800 ICP.
Here are the usual suspects, with limits for better graphing:
Change the max Exhaust Back Pressure to 55, then get rid of Mass Fuel Desired and use Torque Converter Slip with a max 1000 (assuming auto transmission).
Some versions of AE may show your Fuel Injector Pulse Width at less than 1.0 all the time. If that happens, set the scale value at 10, save it, then open it again and set the max to 5 ms.
If your MPH shows zero, set the scale value to 256, close it, then open it again and set the max to 100.
I hope you tested your EBP/MAP/BARO with Key On Engine Off, that's the only way to get an accurate reading for baseline.
I looked and looked and can't figure out how to change the scale values. I can see the sensor screen that you show here in the pic but it won't allow me to select any of them to change settings.

Woah Man, Are you in my head ? I was Just gonna ask you this..... I was making my First run after Selecting RPM,ICR DC, ICP, & Oil temp, And I noticed my ICP was topping out at just shy 3000 psi (I think it was 2985 at WOT). But I didn't know what stock was so I just recorded it. Overall it looked pretty good. I won't get another chance at more button pushing till Sunday after the Game! GO HAWKS!
OH Yeah, How long did it Take AE to get back your activation Key to you? I've sent them 2 activation E-mails, and they still havn't answered me.
Go 12th man! Are you on the dry side or the wet side of the state?
My activation key was in the package when I bought AE from Riffraff Diesel, so I missed that party. If you're seeing ICP and FIPW, I suspect you may already have the activation in there. You can verify:
With the readings you describe - nearly 3000 PSI ICP and 2 ms FIPW at WOT, I haven't yet seen a stock tune do that. It makes me wonder if the PCM was flashed with an aftermarket tune.

This is interesting, I had to check mine and none of my bundles are activated. I bought the "total ford bundle SP03" but did not get an activation key for the ford enhanced bundle. I even powered up my old computer that I initially installed AE on and that one as well the ford section is not activated.
I tend to remember putting a code in and activating something but I must be mistaken.
I can watch ICP and all the diesel stuff with AE but it seems odd that the ford thingy isn't activated?
When you buy the "total ford bundle" is everything just included already in the AE software so activation is not needed?
Weird. I just checked both my computers that work on the truck, and the highlight is yellow now. I have a better method. You will not see this option in the connection without a bundle (I know this one for sure):

Ah yes, I see that option every time I connect. I also know AE searches something like 502 sensors every time at connection also.
I'm on the Soggy Side of Heaven, Port Orchard on the Olympic Penn. That's what my Version is doing, It activates when I connect the Data Port.I sent 2 activation E-mails to AE, But it doesn't stick when I disconnect. That may be their security solution now for the dongle. But it sucks when I can't really run the software in the house. I've built 3 Templates for my setup, saved them while I'm Jacked in, but none of them recall once I go in the house, or after I reconnect later for another session. I try and pull up a template, new session cold start, and I have to reset all my Parameters again.I've read the manual X2 closely, and matched all the windows. It says I'm activated. It saves all my Tests.... but my templates don't stick...Then I disconnect and I'm back to setting my templates back up. I may be missing something.....But I'm A child of Microsoft, I wanna have that Key in My hand, I dont trust nothing to last if I can'treload it a couple of times because i"ve corrupted it.
You do not need the enhanced bundle when at the desk, you only need it when connecting to the vehicle.
Your "sessions" are very likely saved, but it's important you keep track of exactly where you save it.
Once you know where your sessions are stored, you would select the session you want while connecting to the vehicle. This will bypass the sensor scan and it will then ask if you want to check for trouble codes.
I'm too long in the tooth, and grouchy to give up yet, and I'll be damned if I let a piece of Software beat me. If I can conquer MS Vista, This Wee bit of Code will be a cakewalk...(I Hope). Or I'll just call them Monday.
