What a disaster!! Aside from your EBP sensor problems, your screen needs a dusting.
6 PSI is about what I'd see at 70 MPH on the flat in OD. It wouldn't take much throttle for your truck to downshift, and it would take forever to shift back up. I'll just bet you see a lot of high-RPM situations, and your acceleration is anemic.
Subscribing. I have a 6.0 and got my AE yesterday. I'm having low power issues. Probably injectors but want to be sure before I spent that kind of $.
I have very limited knowledge of the 6.0 systems, but I can help with acquiring the readings. Looking at the ICP requirments for startup, I at least know you're sticks are HEUI... and I have experience with that.

ahhh now you can kinda see where I tried to wipe some of it off with my hand. HEHE
AE is about the only time the laptop gets used. Except for vacation maybe.
Well I have been thinking about getting AE for a while now and between the deal at RIffraff and this thread, it made me pull the trigger. Can't wait to get it and start playing.
I also wanted to get a local copy of all this info since I have seen online resources disappear and links break. This is just a rough draft since I went through this thread kind of quickly but here is all of Tugly's main points in one document. I am going to go through the thread in more detail fine tune this but take a look at it so far. What do you think Tugly?
I am loving my AE. I went to look at a early 1999 F450 7.3 Auto XLT crew cab that I saw on Craiglist down here on Wednesday.
It is a theft recovery, that he had just picked up at the Insurance Auction, and has a salvage title because of it. I called the guy and ran down there before anyone else had a chance to steal it from me.. (a whole 'nother story) I took cash and my AE with me. I don't think the guy knew what to think. He said it was missing the fuel tank, bed, and would not run, but that the engine was spotless.
I got there and looked at it. It had the factory rear tank in the truck, they had stolen the Aux tank that had been mounted on the bed. I told him if it had fuel it should run.... He had tried to start it before a week ago off a jump box, and it would not start. I told him there was no way he was going to get it to start with that, if the batteries weren't close to fully charged. He tried it anyway and the batteries gave out after one rotation.
I jumped it with my truck and my 2 gauge cables and and it fired up after less then 2 seconds of cranking. He came out shaking his head like he had realized he wasn't asking enough money... I asked him if he would mind if I checked it for codes and he was kind of leery of it, till I assured him that it doesn't program, that I was just going to look at the data and check it for codes.
It had a few but mostly due to low battery voltage.
I tried to run through the gears on the truck but it had a broken upper shift shaft bolt... It would go into drive , 2, and 1 but would not go into reverse. I checked the live data on the transmission range sensor and saw that it was only seeing showing neutral for Park through neutral, and was showing correct for the drive through 1st. I am hoping that it is just a bad TRS and that is all.
Since I am getting the truck for 3100 bucks, I am thinking between my current F450 and this one I can have a good running truck, and if needed I will pull the trans from my old one since it has less then 20k on a 3100 rebuild. If it is not needed I am having a tough time not just keeping both and having a parts truck, since it is worth more as spare parts then I can get selling it off whole. My wife doesn't see it that way though. I tried to give him some money down to hold it till he gets the title from the Auction since they process them all and it can take a bit to get it from the insurance companies. He said he will call me when he gets it and it usually takes about a week or 2.

I'm glad it's a rough draft. Reading my stuff yet again pointed out a few typos and missed opportunities for more information. I need to go back and edit a couple things. It's written in Forumeze, so copying it to a document might read a little wierd, but the information is still there. Maybe I should get busy and tweak the format so it converts well to a standalone document... much of the writing was to prompt feedback from the readers. I'm flattered that you are taking the time to document my writing. Where's that "ah shucks" smiley?

You just paid $370 to have an insta-tech on permanent retainer, and you probably saved $5000 right there on a truck you know you can drive off the lot. While not everybody is getting ready to buy a donor vehicle... I can't stress the less stress factor enough. No/stubborn start? The slowest part of getting a general answer is grabbing, hooking up, and booting the laptop. Great use of your rescources Nsaan!
Part of the "whole nother story" in the beginning of my last post was that I had agreed to purchase a different 2000 F450 crewcab on Monday for 8grand. The guy got a call that evening offering him more money and he told them it was theirs without telling me. I called the guy Tuesday on my way to meet him to pay him and he let me know he had "sold the truck". So yes I did save 5000 bucks this week. I was really upset the rest of the night about it. Then the next morning I saw the ad for the silver truck. I have been looking for years and never found one that was local and a decent deal, and then I find 2 this week. Crazy.
BONUS!!!! As I was going through my boxes of parts and mods that I have not put on yet I found a brand new EBP sensor from who knows when I bought it. Now I think it is time to buy the HPOP access cover and ebps relocator from strictly.
OK so I know somebody gave us the part # for an inverter that has in isolated ground, but, does anybody know how to tell maybe with an ohmmeter, if the inverter I already have has an isolated ground?
I really don't want to buy another one since I have access to 3-4 different ones that might work.
My laptop power supply is only a two prong plug so I imagine it would not see a ground issue but I would like to be sure.
I looked in mine and there is no ground connection at all, but it has the three holes for a grounded plug to fit. I have not tested other inverters with the AE interface, so each person needs to make their own call.
Hey Teacher, I have a question.
I was going through Wood-N-Things AE docs and came accross this.
5. Check for Oil Aeration
a. In Park/Neutral Hold vehicle at WOT for 3 minutes
i. If ICP increases above 1250psi change engine oil
Is that really true? I have never thought about putting my foot to the floor in park let alone doing it for 3 minutes.
Just want to confirm that this is correct and advised to do.
I'll have to see if I can find it again, but was reading thru either my Ford shop manual or the Ford powertrain control/emissions diagnosis manual, and there are several test where you need to run the engine at WOT for 3 min before taking a reading.
You'll want to do this in stock setting as some tuners disable the rev limiter.
