AE class is in session!
?????
I don't suppose you can think of a variable that could tie to this... like one reading with engine warm and the other with engine cold.
Both were with warm engine

And even more bizarre...

This is warm with warm engine. A couple of heavy accelerations and looks like back to normal at the end of the graph. I think the weird spikes are at pause or unpause.

Basically, if you order AE with the Ford bundle from Clay, you get a package deal... plus you get the good-buddy Clay "discount". Buying a piece on ebay and adding the Ford bundle by itself will sag the supposed savings. See?
If you found AE with the Ford bundle on ebay, that would work.
I have to activate my Ford enhancement every time I use the AE. Is this normal?
I just did injector cups and o-rings so I have a few "add on" codes. Besides the face that I somehow broke the ICP. Must've been when the bucket I was stangind on slipped out from under me. Bus anyway, The AE won't let me do a KAM reset. It keeps telling me test failed unknown error. Any Ideas?
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I found it was much cheaper to purchase from Clay@ Riffraff then it was to drive 6 miles and buy directly from AE. Crazy but true, like 60 bucks cheaper for the Ford bundle. Then I ended up spending the same amount again to get dodge and Chevy also.

The foundation for getting started is already here:
- Setting up for connection
- Pulling and clearing codes
- How to select and configure PIDs to monitor
- Which PIDs to monitor for common problems
- How to record data
- How to share data
- How to interpret key sensors
I'm not saying everybody should master a scan tool. I'm saying it's a small investment into our aging trucks. The chances of needing a tow to the dealership for a hookup increase with each passing mile/year... OR have this bad boy on hand and a copy on file from one of the links in my signature (or internet access to FTE), and be a road warrior. Not starting in the driveway is one thing, but I've seen a lot of "On the side of road" threads end up with happy endings within 15 minutes of posting on FTE, and "Found this with AE" stories from people after safely returning home. I have also experienced issues that can have more than one possible root cause, and AE flipped the big red neon "Looky here!" sign for me. I have a carputer... with AE, GPS, ISSPRO EV2 interface, tuner interface, and all my digital documentation for the truck (including FTE write-ups). I also carry some tools and a few common parts. Stinky always gets us home from no matter how far we travel... but sometimes he needs a nudge. That's where some would give a valued appendage to have AE with them - nudge time.
Save $370 today (on AE, for example)... then get a tow to a shop on vacation, wait for their business hours, get charged a diagnostic fee, and the labor to tighten a loose IPR (or some other simple thing). Any bets on the savings here? How about that prepaid cabin you're not sleeping in? Not only do you have an altered itinerary, you can't even make a new one until you know what's going on. If you have a scan tool and know it's more serious than a loose sensor, you at least know where you stand and what needs to be done... before Monday. What dollar value do you put on peace of mind... or your family's vacation time?
Fortney5096 - You have already made a good choice, whether you use it to the max or not. I chose to go the "over the top" route... and I have a truck that I know is 100% because of it.
