Auto G/box Scanning

Hi there, Just purchased the AE Total ford bundle SP03 to sort my 03 SD 7.3 F250 . Can this bundle scan the live data for the Auto G/box . if yes what drive train do I select as I do not see a 4R100 box in there or maybe I have not found all the options as yet. Thanks

I'll get some screen shots today. That's the bummer with AE when you're not linked to the vehicle... you can't rehearse anything.

(raising hand) When I'm in the live data graph tabs, I'd like to be able to move sensors to different graphs or pic another sensor that I had recorded in that session. When I use the pull-downs above each graph, they only have one selection listed - the one currently on the graph. The helpfile seems to indicate I can select any of the sensors I recorded in that session. Ideas?

From the little I have played with it, from what I have seen you have to select the sensors you want to see when you select the playback option. To change what sensors you see, just stop and restart your playback and choose the new sensors to view.

Right. That's what I'm doing now and it does work, just not like I'd hoped with the pull-downs.

How are you at spreadsheet graphing? The CSV files can be opened directly into a spreadsheet program like Excel or Calc.

Here is a sheet from when I was troubleshooting a lifted injector (ugly lines, aren't they). The drawback is you are limited to two scales, and you sometimes have to use a multiplier on the data to fit all lines into one graph. No stock truck will see numbers like this, so don't try to compare yours with this graph.

That could work better, just a bit more time to finesse the data/scales. That's a busy graph. If that's possible with multipliers, the simple two and 3 sensor graphs I want to do should be easy.

The back of my butt is scuffed from dragging it, but here is the answer to the question on linking to the transmission - it's through the Enhanced Powertrain.

If you want to tinker with tire transformation... Anti-Lock Brake

Wrangling the wipers, washer, or windows? GEM/Central Timer.

The Overhead Trip Computer doesn't do much more than lie to you about how much fuel you have in the tank after a harpoon mod. The temperature is in there, but the form of ice in your coffee (intentional or incidental) is about as good an indicator as any.

I never played with the rest of the stuff because Park Aid sounds boring, I don't have PATS, I paid good money for the Enhanced Powertrain (over the Generic), and my luck would have me blowing the Airbag if I so much as read the word. I can just see the airbag jamming the laptop into my snot box, then I try to explain to my wife how I broke the screen with my face.

Professes Tugly... Can you tell us what AE will test? what commands can be sent to the PCM,power train and ect. To aid in testing?

You can go here: [LINK]

Scroll down to Ford Powerstroke 7.3L '99-'03 and click on the link. Be sure to scrool through the different screens in the window that opens... there are a lot of screens in the link.

So my truck has been on the very low end of average on fuel mileage at 13 mpg.
This was in march.( finally figured out how to post graphs )

Yesterday I filled up and got about 14.8 mpg on the last tank but today got these readings...

When I first got AE I kinda hoped that the EBP sensor was bad. That would have helped explain the poor mileage. Seems weird... Maybe its the summer blend.
Do you think I should replace the sensor?

That's bizarre. An EBP reading that's higher at KOEO than while running - something is amiss. It's possible your EBP is intermittently plugged... but I think the thing we should be looking at is voltage supplied, or a ground. I would go through the AE and grab every supply voltage possible (not sensor voltages) to see if a 5 V line or the 12 V feeds are as advertised. I don't suppose you can think of a variable that could tie to this... like one reading with engine warm and the other with engine cold.

Try unplogging the ebps while koeo... then cycle the key...
Then plug it in again... cycle koeo again...

See if the r3ading changes...
