I couldn't feel them kick in before, but you could sure tell they were opening by the way the engine sounded. It sounds a lot smoother on hard acceleration now.
Well the truck actually got 12.3 MPG this time. I found that the rear sending unit goes to E with 14 gallons still in the tank. Oh well! at least it works. Finally the truck takes off like nothing is holding it back anymore.
Did an oil and filter change today. Had a surprisingly low amount of metal on the magnetic drain plug after all of the new parts in the engine. So that's good.
What do you have your choke set at? I am having a heck of a time getting my choke set just right. Its almost like my truck likes no choke at all, and it was down to 0* here in the AK 2 days ago.

I don't have a clue what it's really set at. Pretty light I know that. The factory marks were WAY too strong and it's backed way off. I usually set them so the choke is set, turn the cap until the choke closes fully, but just barely and give it a little bit more tension. That's usually a very good ball park to start with. I could stand to make a summer and winter mark on the choke housing and though.
Cam is a bit too lopey for me, but it is idling a bit low when you kicked the choke off. Mine's around there in gear. Low idle after tapping the gas is about 750. This is mine at 750.

I usually always do that, but this particular motor doesn't like it, maybe it is that the choke circuit is not operating correctly. I will have to call the manufacturer i reckon and get it lined out.
I don't ever have to mess with mine...always fires right up no matter the season.

Thanks, mine's also an RV cam, but I'm not sure what the specs are or who made it. I'd imagine it's got some pretty high lift with all the head work I had done. In that video it hadn't been running longer than 5 minutes.
