Is that a runway, and you are about to take off? I don't see any lines, and you seem to be going down the middle. We knew you have a FAST54 but we didn't know it flew.

Close actually haha the runway is off to the left now far. Small rural airport road!
The Caddy has tons of low end torque, so it's no big deal. When I first put the 9" in the truck it had 4.11's. It was kind of fun for running around town but you couldn't hardly leave a light without roasting tires.
I much prefer the 2.75's as I spend more time on the highway than I do at the dragstrip.
Not a very pretty picture but at least I'm driving the truck and not sitting in the garage. A little hazy out today. We've had a lot of smoke from the fires in the Sequoia national forest. All the gauges working like they should.
There's nothing ugly about any old 2 lane country road. That's some fun driving watching farmers do their thing. There's a lot of roads around my neighborhood that look like that at harvest. One can say it looks like money.
Took the '49 out for road trials today after putting the engine back in yesterday. Since so many things can be reached better without the hood on, I left it off and tooled around for about 15 miles getting funny looks from other drivers.
Had to stop twice to adjust the timing a bit. Man it sure is easy to do with full daylight and an easy reach.

Took the truck on a short road trip down to my dads place yesterday. It was about 70 miles one way,but I was a little nervous about it because that's the farthest its been since getting it drivable.
No issues going down but it started to run a little hot coming home up the grades with the ac on. 95 year old ww2 navy vet. He loved it. Its the first time he's seen the truck since i started the build.
