"Through the windshield" picture thread
As I was in the garage, this thread came to my mind. Since I don't have a windshield it doesn't quite qualify, but I'm getting closer.
By the way, we have Kum and Go's around. You never really get used to the name.

Hey Scott,
Your "through the windshield" is my new background for the computer.
Great shot! We were up through Montana last summer - just beautiful.
It would be paradise if it weren't for the hordes pulling massive travel trailers up the roads to Yellowstone.
Looking good in Montana!

Took a ride up to Chama NM, a nice little town in the mountains up near the Colorado border. It's the town where the steam trains are based, I'd been up there before to ride the train but never got to spend some time looking around. It's gorgeous country, up at about 7800 ft., so nice and cool (high of 70, low of around 40), a nice change from 90 deg. weather in ABQ. I stayed in a really nice small cabin right on the Chama River.
The truck did wonderfully, although clearly running too rich. Lots of big hills, a piece of interstate highway, mostly 55 mph on US 84. Still managed 13.8 mpg over the 400 miles, which considering the hills and overall climb, not too bad. I need to adjust my power valve, tho.
Here are some pics... not all thru the windshield, too many bugs!
