Hey Number, I’ve been trying to find info on the trans the 65 I’m trading for. I can’t seem to find anything on it. Do u have sources on those? Here is the vin as I don’t have the trans info handy without looking at another post. Also is this a decent driveline combo? Seems different then most I’ve seen on here...
TRANS code is L = Clark model 2651-V1 or 2653-V1 5 Speed Direct.
Hey number, what kinds of normal wear items will I have trouble getting with a 65 N600? I know when I was looking at the early 70’s C trucks I found that brake drums were no longer manufactured and conversions needed to be done.

Brake drums are non existent, all the other brake parts are available from NAPA and etc.
All the engine/trans/rear axle mechanical parts are available from NAPA and etc auto parts stores.
The cab and door weatherstrips have been reproduced, but the repro parts sellers (Carpenter etc) only list them for F100/350's.
1961/66 F100/1100 and 1963/69 N/NT500/1100 use the same cab. The N/NT series doors are cut off at the front for clearance purposes, but all the internal parts are the same. as F100/1100.
Hey Bill,
Hope your fighting fit again.
Not sure supplying a VIN would help as this is an Australian assembled truck and thought I had this diagram.
Do you have a diagram of the rear chassis wiring harness or a wiring schematics of the same rear section of chassis for a 1976 LN8000 Louisville tractor. (prime mover)
I need to remake the rear harness myself from the back of the cab as this thing is a mess of old frayed wires.
Thanks in advance if you can help and much appreciated.
I have a 66 F 600, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, standard axle truck. Started life as a " Truck, Tank, Aircraft Refueler, 1200 gallon tank, w / cab. Now has a lifting flat bed on it. It has a firewall mounted brake booster and has developed a vacuum leak. I'm not able to find a shop that can
identify the booster or any replacement. Can you help?
Gene
WAG but you might be able to use a later model booster from an F350, late enough to carry a dual master if you desire. IIRC, preferably a dual drum brake master.
What KREWAT said !! I didn't know what it meant either. Lol.
85E 150.....yes, I had considered doing something other than original. Have done plenty of upgrades on old cars and pick ups. And a dual master is very desirable. But I feel a little out of my league here. Seems like the upgrade would need to be matched to the existing brake components to work correctly and safely. I have recently seen another 66 F600, that was using an Expedition dual master and booster. A restored truck, it was a very neat installation. To convert, it may also use the pedal assembly under the dash, and proportioning valve. But have looked around for the article and can not find it. So for now just need to go back original. Thanks for suggestion....
