Howdy ND, trying to find a B4Q-7969-A, "Rod, Aux Trans", for my T-850. Found a 7959 (LH) but can't find the 7969 for the RH side of the shifter.
Thank you for the all of your efforts to help us find these disappearing parts!
By the way, the truck was in West Tacoma when I found it, and the owner lived on Vashon Island...your old stomping grounds?

Title change for clarity. Simple questions, one shot questions, VIN decode etc. For Large Trucks, 500 series and above. (Well, we'll let the 450 guys sneak in once in a while...)
I just scored an F600 today. I also just signed up as a member, basically because of this truck. My friend sent me a photo of the door tag, it's not legible of course. So here's what I know
VIN F60l7K29787
Axle 41
Date is I7 or 17
Trans is F I think. Might be P
As I said, the picture is bad. I'll pick the truck up next week maybe and see it for real.
Is there any good data that can be obtained from the above bad info? Also, thank you. A lot. I know it's a lot of work doing something like this for every Tom, Dick and Harry. I sincerely appreciate any info you can share.
The truck was a grain truck in a previous life. Back when, and I quote, my friend was knee high to a June bug. I may name the truck June Bug in his honor. I intend to put an IDI in it and use it as a car hauler. I'm pretty stoked about it. Thanks again!!

I have every Ford Truck Parts Catalog from 1928 thru 2001, so I can decode all the VIN info, codes from the Rating/Warranty Plates and the Certification Label first used in 1981.
If you need parts, obsolete or not, I can look up the numbers, then search for them on two online websites to see if anyone has them. Then will post the part numbers, sources that have them.
If the parts are still available, I will list the MSRP and the FTE member discount price offered by sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM (Ed Olson, parts manager of Horizon Ford in Seattle WA).
I've been doing this jazz on FTE since 11/04/2006. And, btw: One of the parts locator sites is only accessible to FoMoCo Dealers.
Bill: can you still help with VIN decoding? I just picked up a 1970 cab-over C7000. Just a cab and bare chassis. VIN is D70BVBG9067. Truck is titled in Wyoming, soon to be in Pennsylvania. Thanks, Paul.
I'd suggest looking on the top of the right (passenger) side frame rail adjacent to where the engine was located for the hidden stamped VIN
1957/79: Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch. C/CT series door is essentially the same 1957/86.
VIN on 1957/79 Warranty Plate known as the Warranty Number. Ford said it was not for title or registration purposes (because it was too EZ to change).
1980 and later use a paper label that was glued on.
Thanks for the info. I plan to get down to my buddy's farm (where the truck is parked) this weekend and will check out the hidden VIN stamp and Warranty Plate.
