I found the original owners manual for dads old 68 F-100
There's mention of bleeding the air from a diesel fuel system and shows a photo of a Sims 4 cylinder in line injection pump like I have on some of my old Ford tractors.
I've never see one of these old trucks with a factory diesel engine and was wondering if you had any info as to what diesel engine they used in these trucks back then.
The 1970 addition of the Automotive Mechanics book also has some interesting reading.
The 1940 Farmers book was my dads.

What I think is a 1965 Grumman Olson. Can’t find a vehicle ID plate anywhere. Has an in-line 6 with a 3 speed. No driver side door...all aluminum, single rear axle.
Any info would be appreciated.
VIN: P40L680712
Hello and thanks in advance:
I have a 1974 (I think) F800 Dump VIN: N71WVT45348.
I'd Like as much info as you can get but primarily the engine size so I can get a new fuel pump. It's a gas engine.

ND, You've helped me on the '61-'66 forum on my bell housing and starter problems. Another member on the FE forum thought that my bell housing may be from an MD or HD setup since it has mounts on it. If it is and you have any reference to it, Are the FE flywheels of a different diameter on MD and HD trucks than those on a car or light truck? What kind of engine mounts do they take? Mine are shot. The engine block has a "C6ME-A and 7A26" cast in it. (pic of the bell housing marks)
Thanks.

Thanks for the parts picture. I'm guessing that my truck should have part 6A061 on each side, for the upper support. Instead it has two of something like 6068, for the top and bottom.
W = 361 2V or 4V FT engine - Low Propane Gas (Domestic Special Order).
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
T45348 = 1974.
If you want further info, post all the codes stamped on the Warranty Plate, riveted to the left door face below the latch.
Appreciate the info, I'm scratching my head as well. It must be a converted engine or an outright replacement. It's gasoline powered and the hood emblem says "F800" so maybe it's a mongrel. Unless at some point the whole cab was R&R'd. I'll keep looking for the pump, it's a mechanical with a spin on filter housing at the bottom, I think I can get a number off of the housing casting.
