LOL...yup. It seems like the cheaper the part the more times you have to go back and forth to the parts store

Congrats on the simple fix

Thanks Bobby!!

A little update guys. I took the truck for a test drive the other day since fixing the clutch pedal problem and she drove perfect as usual.

OT but was on a cruise last week. It started in Miami, stopped at Key West and Mexico. On the way back from Mexico we made an unexpected stop off the coast of Cuba to pick up 16 rafters. Once we were near Key West, the Coast Guard came alongside and picked up our guests. That was interesting. I have some pics but am having trouble downloading them from a tablet.

Now on to the book. My ad in my union newsletter just went out and I got my first order. Hopefully there will be more once they arrive in the mailboxes!!

I also got an email the other day requesting some pictures and information on the truck so it can be used in the owners pride section of the next Enjine-Enjine magazine. It will be on the back cover. It will be a good book advertisement <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> too. No word on the Fire Department press release.

One more thing. Another car show next weekend with a celebrity.

Should I go?????

Got some news today that I was expecting but didn't want to hear. The house where I have been storing the truck for over 6 years has been sold. I asked the homeowner to ask the buyers if they would be willing to let me keep it there. She said they weren't very friendly and the man said something about turning the barn into a shop. She was going to ask the realtor anyway. I was supposed to hear back this evening but didn't get the call. I have 45-60 days to find somewhere else. I have been asking around but now I really need to get serious. There is a firefighter who lives across the street from the property and he asked a friend if her 2 car garage was available. She said yes. Unfortunately, the door was 6" too low.

I'm sure I'll find something but its going to cost me more $$$$!!

I reposted my ad in Craigslist.

Need storage space for my Antique fire truck

Any chance you can store it at your department's service yard or training facility? Is there a fire station that has extra unused space?

Ilya, unfortunately your suggestions will not work.... thanks anyway.

I got the official word from the new owner today. He doesn't want the truck on his property...bummer!! I made some calls today and drove around the neighborhood checking out houses with big buildings in the back yard. Most people dont have ant extra space. I have no choice but to keep looking!

Could you build a garage for it on your property?

Moe, I wish I had the room to add a garage. That would be ideal!! My friend wants to put a metal framed building on his property. Some space for the truck and the other for his dog breeding/kennel business. I would have to finance it and we would split the payment. I really don't want to finance anything but in the long run it will be cheaper for me. I figured I must have spent close to 10K already over the past 7 years. I could of paid for half the building already and my payments would be finished now. A bunch of factors will be in play tho. How long do I plan to keep the truck? How long will my friend stay in his house? What will the payments be? I have been paying $125 a month which is inexpensive. If I had to rent a warehouse I could end of paying $350!! Like I said I really don't want to finance a building and on top of that I have to convince the Mrs to go along with the plan. That will be tough when she wants new windows which cost the same money. Oh, what to do!!
