I got a call from the guy with the warehouse today. He will make room for me!!!!!!
What a relief!! We agreed on $250 a month. Its 6500 sf and air conditioned to boot!! Even an alarm system! We are going to meet new week to work out the details. Its close to were I store it now. I have not seen it yet. He does have the building up for sale but he told me he is not giving it away and it could take 5 years to sell it. We will go with a month to month lease. I still will keep looking for another place but at least the pressure is off for now. I am borrowing my buddies trailer today to start clearing out the barn. I have accumulated so much stuff over the past 6 years. I need to pick up my compressor and tools etc. I still have 4 of my original widow maker rims and tires. I will bring them to my buddies house for now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them.
Thanks guys! What a huge relief .... Dad is doing better and a place to store the truck! He has a 54 1 ton Chevy panel painted red & black and its from Illinois. I should of taken a picture as we were parked back to back. Two Chicago rigs. I am still going ahead with the ad in the magazine to see if anything else comes up.
Thanks Joe. I will get the pic soon. I was supposed to get together with the warehouse owner today but we rescheduled for Thursday. I did get the address and took a ride over. It only has one bay door so I am concerned about where he is going to put me. Will I be in back with other vehicles in front of me that will have to be moved or will I be in front and the truck will have to be moved to get other cars out?? Not sure which way it will be. Not crazy about them having to move the truck when I'm not there. I peeked thru the heavily tinted windows and saw it was filled up with cars and stuff. I get the whole story on Thursday. Maybe this might be a temporary stop until something better comes along. The ad in my community magazine is still a go and will be out in a few weeks so we will see what happens. Its still a nice building in the back of a big warehouse compound. I hate to sound negative but it was not what I expected. Here is a exterior pic of the place. It is the bay on the left. You can see the for sale sign on the entry door.
Met with the owner this morning. I was way off on the square footage. Its only 1750sf and I thought it was 6500. Its a nice place and I can work on it there if I want (has a nice ventilation system in place). What I'm not crazy about is that the truck will be by the bay door and they will have to move it when they get their vehicles out! They have some really nice cars as you can see by the pic. I really like the corvette as it reminds me of the 66 I once owner. Whats partially shown is a 58 Chevy Impala/Biscayne. It mostly original including the interior.
The building has a nice bathroom too! We"ll see how it goes!!
