Thanks Guys! They were not filming at the show. I was disappointed and was hoping the truck would make the show. I did get some interest from a local magazine who want to do a story. They said they if If didn't have any professional pictures they would send out a photographer to any site. I am going to take them up on the offer.
Ilya, the mustache had to go .... too many grays!!
Bobby, like I said I was disappointed they weren't taping but it was great to meet him anyway.
I definitely need some Rain-X in the glove box or better yet install the damn windshield wipers . The wiring is all there. I just need to drill some holes. Also need the correct wiper arms. When I bought the truck it only had the drivers side wiper. I kinda of like the look without them. I don't like having the windshield blocked a little by the arm.
Keith,
I can get away with it out here in New Mexico. We havent had any kind of moisture in ages.
I've started fabricating a wiper system for my truck but its very low priority.
The fire truck does really look clean without wipers
Bobby
Video is done!! I picked it up tonight. Unfortunately not much on the Patrol. My grandfather may be in the video's. I have to study it more. I am uploading some clips of the video on Youtube. Here is one so far.
Thats pretty cool!
I sure hope you find some footage of your grandfather in there somewhere. Even if you don't its a neat peice of history being saved.
Thanks Joe. The Thrill Shows were held at Soldier Field. Every year the show packed the people in. I searched Google and found out that 1938 was the year they started. They stopped during the war and I believe they still have them although not at the stadium.
