I agree , but No help from factory rep. either !!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not familiar with dealing with the factory reps and their level (or lack thereof) of knowledge when it comes to TSB's but I would expect them to know something as basic as this.
Just keep on 'em, it's sad that a customer who normally wouldn't have access to TSB's, walks into a dealer and says "it says right here on Ford's documentation....." and they still appear to not have a clue..
Update, Dealer Said no code showing up at this time , there nothing they can do. Ford Rep. suiggested it could be normal. Taking it to another Ford dealer next week . Is there and body on this board that live in Maryland area and knows a good Ford dealer for service.
Even the TSB states that you may exhibit the shift flare and/OR malfunction indiciator lamp (MIL) on... I don't even know what to say, incompetence at its finest..
Sorry man, I feel for you..
At this point, you may be better off at ANY other Ford dealer than the one you've been dealing with.
Mine is one month old and has 5,000 miles on it (it had 30 miles when I got it). I have not had that issue but I start mine 10 minutes before I get in it (remote start). I have noticed that the shift from 1st to second is a little rough and sometimes when I come to a slow turn it doesnt know quite which gear it should be in so it drops to first (which is pretty low and jerky).
Other than that the truck is very nice. I am not getting very good fuel economy though. Most of my miles are freeway empty.
Do you know if any one makes a cold air intake for these motors yet? unable to find one
I want to thank all of you that have posted your trans issues and expericnces with having this issue addressed. I have an F250 6.2 gasser and I have experienced the 2nd to 3rd gear flare. I now have it fixed thanks to all of you the repair went very smooth with the dealer. I called the dealer gave him the TSB info, he wanted the truck and kept it over night for a test drive and ordered the solenoids and started work on it the same day. This was a Friday, he returned my truck on Monday morning. Yes it is fixed and I am happy. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
Recently my 2011 f-250 6.7 6K miles started getting a hard shift up shifting into 3rd and 5th it also misses 3rd on occasion. The rpm jumps up and it goes back to 2nd and tries again. It's usually successful on the second attempt. Went to dealer they said it was a bad solenoid pack and that they had just fixed one for the same problem and that it was a known problem.
Several months out from the flash/solenoid update and the problem is still there. While on a road trip this past weekend it flared twice. The problem with the shifting while in cruise was even worse than usual.
The service manager still contends the trans has the latest and greatest and will not do anything more until the trans fails.
When the truck is running properly, it is thing of beauty. After a run like last weekend, I could just accept the loss and trade it on a GM HD.
I guess mine is the only one that the update did not solve the problem.
It would be interesting to hear if anyone has noticed shift anomalies while in cruise (65-80mph) in hill country environments.

I don't have the issues you're experiencing and it's nothing but hills out here in Pittsburgh.
I had one hiccup immediately after getting the flash but I assumed it was still in its learning mode. There's one spot after I pull out of work that I could make the issue occur and the many times I've tried, the shifts have been right on.
While in cruise on an incline mine will downshift to 5th as expected but on the downhill side most of the time it will not shift back to 6th. I have to take it out of cruise and it will immediately shift back to 6th. I also still occasionally have a shift flare problem.
All this with the tsb 11-06-11 upgrade.
Thanks
My 2011 has 50,000 miles on it. I noticed that I cannot get in and drive unless the engine has warmed up. The tranny does not like to shift when it is cold. I never had this problem with my chev. My tranny sometimes gets confused on what gear it should be in. Not a big enough problem to complain. I just warm up the truck for 15 minutes before I drive away and it seems to be okay.
