3 times for the same thing and you're able to claim lemon law.

If I were you I'd put it in 'M' and click the buttons until its fixed or replaced.

Sorry to hear this, I had my trany reflashed and it is much better.

Can't wait to put a tune on it and get more performance!

I'd like to see a solution, too. My 2011 was built after the cutoff for solenoids but I have a shift neutral slam 1-2 or 2-3 about once every thousand miles. Has never been back to the dealer.

2011 f350 6.2 shifting problems trans

I've had mine back to the dealer several times for shifting problems from going into neutral after 2nd gear then banging into 3rd to banging going into 3rd to getting stuck in 3rd.to..now it's seems like it's shifting twice in 5th gear...going in on monday for that..they have reflashed ,told me there was nothing wrong but it was fixed for a while,they told me it was a quart low on fluid which was bs and on and on...

Trans shifting

My 2012 has had problems since new! Been back to dealer three times so far.....
They say no codes no problem!
These tyrannys have PROBLEMS!

Many super duty's are having tranny problems. Just read where a 6.7 owner had to have his tranny replaced.

Look at the bright side, at least it's just the transmission and not a POS engine that likes to take a dump after the miles start climbing.

My 2011 is at the dealer right now been there for a week for the second to third shift issue
Transmission is out and apart The Tech found The direct clutch piston and equalizer piston were scuffed indicating that they were binding.
This is the second dealer (you guys need to find another dealer)

I have a 2012 with similar problems. Mine was downshifting in tow haul on over passes pulling a single axle trailer with atv getting around 6 to 7 mpg. same shift flairs as you'll are having without pulling. Took it to dealer they replaced clutch packs, silinoids, 7 seals, 2 gears. Got it back pulled my tractor with 16ft lowboy in tow haul it would not shift out of 2nd gear until it sounded like it was going to blow up. Unhooked trailer and went for a ride empty in tow haul it would not shift out of 2nd gear until 95 mph. Took it back to dealer and they are going to put new tranny in on 4/24. They said there was a back order on trannys. I have 18000 miles on the truck.

Yes it was, and when you let off it would coast to a stop and not shift out of second gear. Thank goodnes the dealership said they were tired of messing with it and was gonna put new tranny in it.

Perfect after the flash some 40,000 miles ago

my 2011 tranny has been perfect since the reflash and 3 solenoids a while back for the shift flare problem common in the first year of build.

I was a manual tranny fan for the previous 5 trucks, Chevy's and Fords. Super happy with my 6 speed, love the manual shift mode. Sorry yawl are having difficulties.

It is not possible that the one truck will not shift out of 2nd until 95 mph....... sounds like a fish story. Mine will run 6,000 rpm redline at maybe 62-65mph. Even if the truck was stuck in 2nd gear, the engine ECM would stop if from fueling/igniting likely a few hundred rpm above redline.

This is not a fish story. I know what my truck did, I dont post on here to start any trouble. I love my truck except the problems with the tranny which is being replaced on wednesday.

My 2012 will get stuck in 2nd gear also. It happens when fully warmed and then shut off for about 15 minutes, then try to accelerate into traffic, even once I let off throttle it will not up shift right away. I am and auto truck tech for 40 years and I still turn wretches in my own business for 30 years. My dealership says NO CODES NO PROBLEM FOUND. Very annoying going back to the dealer for this type of response. The scan tool will not fix everything! My dealer here says nobody has a problem but me! Every person I see with one of these.....has issues with the transmission. The sad thing is other than this the truck is wonderful! (Except for the 11 mpg)

Try a different dealer , maybe they can help you. I was very fortunate that the dealer has treated my good. My truck was worst in tow haul.
