TSB done by noon. Two short hot soak starts, no 2-3 shift flare so far.
The service writer couldn't confirm what software they loaded. I got a copy of the info, will post what the tech wrote when I dig thru the paperwork tonight. Fingers crossed!
Still super pleased with the TSB work that my dealer performened, replacing the three solenoids and reprogramming, my shift flare has not shown up since they completed the repair work. Yahoo!
I apologize I have not responded to this forum since page 16, but here is the latest in my vehicle's development.
I obtained the May Flash update. It improved the 2-3 shift flare, but did not completely resolve the issue. Since it was better, I was hoping the computer would "learn" and continue to improve (plus I'm tired of dealing with this problem). Until last Friday, when leaving work for lunch (3-4 hour warm soak). I had a very violent shift flare where the vehicle actually went into 1st instead of 3rd and revved to 5700 RPMs, then violently went into 4th. I immediately called the service manager at the dealership and left a message. When leaving from work that afternoon (another 4 hour warm soak) it did it again and I captured it on my iPhone video. I have uploaded this video to YouTube:
Today my vehicle was in Service department all day. At the end of the day, I'm told I need to have 3 solenoids replaced and 2 of the 3 are on back order and won't be available until November. It also needs the June flash TSB update, but no sense doing that until solenoids are replaced. My frustration continues to rise (along with my blood pressure!). I'm especially frustrated that neither Ford or the Dealership has contacted me regarding new updated TSB's for Flashes when they know this is a problem on my vehicle (I think this is my 4 or 5 time into service on this issue in the last 12 mo's.)
I'll try to keep you all posted better on this, but I'm not optimistic. Please keep posting your comments and check out my videos (search: FixMyF250) on YouTube to compare my issue to yours. Something eventually needs to be done about this. I'm quickly losing my patience. Maybe, just maybe, I'll have the same experience "Buckholz" has had above, but I have to wait till November to find out.

The first week after the solenoid replacement and flash, I had two instances of the 2-3 shift problem. I reported it to the service manager and was pretty much told without codes, nothing could or would be done. Its been well over a month or so now and the last three weeks have been pretty good with the exception of a few rough shifts. One thing I have noticed is while in cruise it will downshift from 6 to 5 as I would expect on an incline but most of time it will not move back from 5 to 6. I have to kick it out of cruise. Then it shift to 6 right away.
Love the truck. Hope Ford solves the problem.

When I had the latest flash installed I asked my service guy point blank about this issue. He danced around the question for a minute or two, and after pressing him on it basically said, they will not volunteer any information, and you better use the rights words in your discription of the problem so it matches their buzz words on the computer. He was nice about it, and I thanked him for his honesty and right then and there I decided I would have to be an agressive *** when dealing with them Sad? Yes. But you are no longer a customer, you are a mark.
Ford has a big problem to solve as this is there bread and butter. I don't need to step away from a 2008 SD 6.4 problem and purchase a 2012 6 speed new headache.
Agree, the problem was on the first year or so of manufacturing. My 2011 built summer 2010 now works perfect with programming and parts that have been active since late spring 2011. I would have no reservations with the 6-speed built after maybe April 2011.
Mine is still working perfect after the TSB was performed early this month.
