They finally got the solenoids and after 2 weeks I now have my truck back. Shifting is smooth so far. I guess time will tell. It will be intersting to hear from others who go through this solenoid replacement and program update. I want to know how things are going for all the others.
It's good to have the truck back!
Mine is still fine since the update (no solenoids for me though, built 12/2010). I had one 2nd to 3rd hiccup but have read that it may occur while the trans is still "learning". Other than that, everything has been good.

What update did you get? I want to tell the dealer the correct one to put on. Have only had 1 shift issue since my update, but that was with the diesel update. And I was way past the learning stage too.
1. Inspect vehicle build date.
a. If vehicle build date is on or before 11/19/2010, proceed to Step 2.
b. If vehicle build date is between 11/20/2010 and 4/11/2011, solenoid replacement is not necessary, proceed to Step 3.
2. Replace the three normally high solenoids. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01B. Proceed to Step 3.
a. Remove solenoids in-vehicle, identify the service band required for LPC, C35R/SSB, C456/SSE solenoids. Removal of the control is not required.
The May TSB has been updated to a June version, I don't recollect the actual number. My service rep typed in the may tsb and the ford computer automatically pulled up the june version. I read the two TSBs side by side - no substantial changes, other than to the title of the TSB (removed one of the error codes) and they eliminated IDS release 72.04... only allow 73.01 or higher now. My local shop has the solenoids on order for my built last summer 2011 F350 6.2L. Will call me when they have parts. My transmission has been perfect other than the same 2-3 shift flare after warm soak . Been doing the same shift flare about three times a week now for 20k miles. Hopefully this TSB will fix the shift flare problem and I will have another 10 years of reliable service. I love the performance of my new truck compared to my old 2006 6.0L manny. No regrets. I tow up to 10,000lb trailer, have had no problems with shift flare. It only seems to happen in the first 1/4 mile after warm soak after pulling out of a parking space forwards (no use of reverse) after about a 3-4 hour soak.

Mine seems to be better post-update. It's still "learning" the patterns but its getting better each time I stop and start. If it has to go back that's #4 and per the sign in the shop that's CT's lemon law.
My 6.2 gasser (11-F250) has had shifting issues from the get-go, first time was just after starting and pulling into traffic from a parking lot, like the tranny gets lost and doesn't know what gear to grab. Has happened several times since, always just after start-up and pulling into traffic, reasonably hard acceleration. My dealer said there is a TSB for this problem, am trying to schedule appointment to fix, all local dealers backed up on tranny work.
Similar problem here, but not under any load. Sixth gear just disappeared from the display and truck would not shift higher than 5th. No cruise control or "tow" mode used. Hasn't happened but once. Previously had stalling issue that 2 dealers did not fix. Cleared the code but didn't fix problem. Looks like I might have more problems ahead.

Not to offend you in case you've already checked this, but you didn't happen to lock out 6th by hitting the - button on the shifter did you?
