I think I would have tried to make a nice smooth arch to the fender instead of the sharp angles. But, ya I think that's whjat he meant, roll the edge for safety

They aren't sharp, they're rolled over real nice. Any kinda trip I put on it would probably fall off anyways.
Why aren't they gonna work out? If I break front axle shafts left and right because of the weight, I'm probably gonna go to a 46 or 49" military tire. I think the michelin XL.
Even if I made 6 figures a year, I don't think id buy 54" boggers. I may be only one here that thinks this but interco charges too much for tires. I'm not saying military tires are better because they aren't but I just don't see payin 3000 for a set of tires. Kinda like the custom wheel thing.
