LowMax kit

Anyone know where I can find a gear reduction kit for a ford 205?

I did find a place I can buy a rockwell Grizzly locker for $380 with a lifetime, you break it, we replace it warranty. They even pay the labor cost for replacement.

I'm picking up an adjustable brake bias proportioning valve today as well as cash-in on my lifetime warranty power steering pump since I burned this one up. I got a much larger cooler for the power steering last night. I'm gonna make a junk yard run soon to find an electric fan to mount on the new cooler. Another thing I wanna do if find some fully synthetic power steering fluid to reduce the chance for the churning effect.

I don't think anyone does... BUT I *Think* you can still score a lower gearset for the 203s.. OR you could get a doubler (mine was around $500)

Doubler is the most common way to go, and probably the best. That or more power

I did make the assumption that JB Conversions made a LowMax for a Ford case but I have since talked to them. They said they've made 9 prototype cases and every one of them has busted the housing due to oiling issues. They put me on a calling list for when they get one right.

On to the doubler! I wanted to retain my current driveshaft length and the options that a doubler provides aren't really necessary, however, this is my only option. I already have a 203 case so now it's just the matter of saving up for the adapter. 100 shot of nitrous wouldn't hurt either.

Anyone know where to get this for the most reasonable price?

Since this thing is ginormous why dont you use a redneck doubler. Just mount a divorced 205 behind the married 205? Cheap and simple. Just run a cv between them.

Jeds Machine is the cheapest place to get a doubler. Get the unwelded version so you can clock the 205 however you want. I have mine soi the bottom of the 205 is level with the bottom of the 203.

Did you get your stock shaft re-splined?

Yep sure did. No issues yet, but I'm running a auto. A manual is going to be a little harder on it.

I think I paid $475 for the whole kit, witch included my resplined shaft, the unwelded adapter, and the bolts needed to install it.

Because the shaft coming out of the 203 range box doesn't mach up with the 205, since its suposed to be a shaft from a tranny.... just a thought

You posted jeds machine 3 times! I'm almost positive that jeds machine supplies stazworks and you posted stazworks twice
