Six year update. The truck has been sitting until summer 2018. We worked on it some over the last year to make it driveable but it still needs lots of work. I made time to travel to Atlanta from my new farm in Myrtle Beach to reassemble the truck. It’s put back together with the new engine and transmission and temporarily wired. I moved it to the farm over the last weekend. Here are some pictures although it doesn’t look much different. Hoping to get to wrench on it over the next few months.
We replaced rusted and dented body panels, repaired the floor boards, painted it single stage tractor paint. Installed new engine and trans as well as an aftermarket twin stick setup from Bronco Graveyard. It broke the front driveshaft CV head on about the fifth hill climb so I ordered a 1410 yoke for the NP205 in hopes that the larger joint will eliminate the need for the CV all together.
Work still to be done includes full wiring, finish front bumper and cage, build front driveshaft, swap to 44” TSL’s and find beadlocks. It really needs some nice shocks too.
I have some video of testing I’ll post later. There’s some on my personal Instagram @travisgkirby
