Having two fronts would be pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having a set for some rear steers.
If/When I go rockwells, i'm thinking two 2.5ton steering axles in a buggy set up.
Who knows, might go that route soon anyways. Kind of tired of the F350 now days, trails only get smaller lol.
Edit:
That is a damn good deal though. I sold my front and two rears with driveshafts for $1000. The guy drove like 500 miles though lol.
You read that right. Shortened rocks on a rear steer buggy will be easier to get around with. And I didn't exactly say I was going to use a rear steer buggy for trails.. just said the F350 is getting too big for them.
In Washington Rockwells are usually two grand rebuilt. I gave the guy the skinny tires for the rear axles, I think he was planning to run 53's, same as Kirby.

2 grand for 2.5 tons is unheard of here. I guess since we have gotten so big with tractor trucks they are a dime a dozen.
To get it driving (and stopping)...
add extra leaves and shackle flip
put in order for front drive shaft
-possibly have to build a new trans mount crossmember for drive shaft clearance
finish making custom rims
swap 53s, tubes and liners to new rims
finish gussets for front spring hangers
mount hydraulic cylinder
finish orbital valve bracing
find and mount hydraulic cooler
buy and run hydraulic lines
remount proportioning valve
buy and run brake lines
box frame above swing shackle bushing mounts
make clamps for rear springs
mount fuel cell
buy and mount shocks
completely RTV and seal axles
install knuckle boots
Near Future Extras:
swap square for circle head lights or just swap to 73-77 grill
ladder bars (2 rear, 1 front)
top secret rear fenders
exhaust (its manifolds and about 3 feet of exhaust pipe now)
custom receiver bumpers
cd player and speakers
Later on Extras

Okay, I don't remember if you said you were doing this or not, but I'm thinking this is going to be essential to not tearing your frame apart or losing your front axle in a giant goatse sized mud hole. My computer refused to open the picture of your truck in mspaint in either jpeg or bitmap formats because "they aren't supported format" (wtf?). Anyway, my complete and utter lack of understanding of photoshop is very apparent right here but you get the idea.
I would also recommend the same thing up higher on the frame. Those two mounts for the front of the leaf springs should really go all the way to the top of the frame for this crossmember that you're going to put there to tie in to. If you aren't too far into it I would think about going back and redoing that part. Just my 2 pennys
