on the front hanger? do you think you mounted it high enough on the frame wall? looks pretty cool.
If it wasn't bolted then welded all the way around and there wasn't going to be any gussets or cross members.. I'd say no. But considering they will be, I wouldn't be scared to just butt them against the frame. Thanks, this was one thing I sorta took my time on.
Just curious, why didnt you want to go any taller?
I wanted to keep my cg as low as possible. Actually, I wish it were lower but the front crossmember and oil pan were too close to the chunk. I guess I could have bought a rear sump oil pan and replace the u shaped cross member with something else. Its multipurpose.

I have to agree with Dillinuts, but with all the additional bracing and the fact that its tire together I don't think the attachment points on the front will receive much of a moment force, so you should be alright, though it never hurts to go overkill with that much unsprung weight.
That's not very exciting Kirby. I don't want to hear about your wheels.
I want to see that damn burnout video!
Anywwwaaays, more pics. :P
Haha, that's true.. I was just thinkin' today that I need to leave enough road tires on the rockwell rims to do a dually burnout. I may be able to get into 3rd gear on the 40s.
Here's a picture of the guys truck I bought the rockwells from in SC. It was pretty well built complete with a 460, 2.5 tons, 54" boggers and rear steer minus the front blocks and silly drop steering bracket. He said his 16 year old son drove it to high school some.
You can see why I had a clearance issue between the rotor and leaf spring in the second picture. He doesn't have an issue because of his lift block. Told me he was gonna make drop brackets for the front spring hangers and longer swing shackles like he did for the back soon so he could take out the block. I bet he was pissed when he saw this problem.
Also.. it's just a crazy coincidence he had the exact same truck I'm building.
