i got bored and looked up ga lift laws. kind of getting conflicting info from sources, but it says that they don't have any codes covering steering modification. so i guess full hydro is ok on the street there. but it says you need brakes at all four corners and must be able to stop in 30 feet from a speed of 20 mph. and you can't have more than 2'' of lift.
are you sure? Full hydro on a pickup on the street?
From what Ive read there is no law stating full hydro is illegal here. Its always been a big debate, but it always turns out the same way. I dont personally agree with it. If you pop a line or your motor dies, you and anyone around you is screwed.
Ive got a buddy building a 4 link dakota on 1 tons running full hydro. He has looked up everything he could about it and found nothing. I keep trying to talk him out of it but no luck.
Lift laws never stopped me (or several million others) from driving on the street before and it won't in the future.
Ya'll forgot head light and tail light height, fender over tire coverage.
Split ring rims are probably illegal on my truck too.
In conclusion, I have a Ranger for DD, a tow truck and trailer for getting to the trail and I don't really care about lift laws.
Who wants to wear out their offroad tires anyways?
no, i didn't. you will be illegal in all of those departments except maybe headlights. most of your lift laws mirror illinois, and my f350 was illegal on 40's with only 9'' of lift.
i'm just saying if you get pulled over and that truck gets impounded i don't wanna hear a single peep out of you because you know exactly how illegal that truck is.
