And, new toys with one more chassis. Now, we just painted the stuff black for the time being. I didn't want it to rust. We are NOT finished with the chassis part. I still need to build my pinon snubber, sled stops, hitch/draw bar, and front traction bars. But being as I need to stop and rebuild a tranny in Rockee, I figured some rust prevention was in order.
this thing would probably yank that sled pretty dang good with just minor engine mods, but with the fuel and air this thing is going to be gettin' forced into it this truck will be a monster i'm thinking!! that "suspenion" is freaking awesome. glad i got to help with it Cody. can't wait to start on the engine
Dave, sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad. That was the Dodge I was racing. And as fast as my truck is, I was no match for it. I knew this going into it. But decided to play anyways. All in a days fun my friend. And I don't feel bad, cuz I've got alot of hours in both of his trucks, and both are bad azz dodges.
So a little pride swallowing, and we were on our way. LOL
Well, you probably won't have to wait long on the engine. Tomorrow, the tranny comes out of Rockee. And most likely, I will pull the tranny and transfer case out of the sled truck and put it in Rockee. The rebuild the tranny from Rockee for the sled truck. And if we pull the tranny, might as well go on and pull the engine.
But that's all if everything goes according to plan. But we already have a glitch. I was doing a tranny service on the F150 tonight, well, 2 trips to the parts store yielded the wrong tranny filter.....both times. I looked at the filter side by side with the old one on the second trip....well, I didn't flip it over. DOH!!!!! So we gotta run back to the parts store first thing in the morning again before we start the disassembly process on Rockee.
