I'm not doubting you, its just hard starting all over on a clutch since you can rebuild them a lot cheaper than you can buy a new one for.
if I start going though them again this year I'll be looking to make a change though thats for sure............

Calm down Travis, Ross and I have talked clutches before. Even traded pics. He's well aware of what we can do for him. LOL

Ross, I'm not sure on the exducer. I think I may be an 80 since it came off an automatic truck. But that's just what I was told. Never measured it. Why?

Poor people on here with Manual transmissions.
Soon as "clutch" is said, there is like a swarm of us that go "VALAIR"

I'm amused, but very happy with my product.
Unfortunately, i'm not happy with all the other things my SMF has showed me. DOH!

I was just curious more than anything, seems like there are a bunch of versions of it. I bet you have a 76/85 that seems to be the most common one

It's coming along good. The last pics are the last progress so far. Most people don't know, but my normal job is night shift 6pm to 6am Sat. through Wed. So that's why there are large gaps in the progress. But there will be more pics this weekend (thurs. Fri.) I promise. I've got more go fast parts coming in. My fuel system should be here, and I ordered my fluidampr. We've got alot of work to do still, and time is short. So stay tuned and you'll see this monster come alive.

On a side note, it is supposed to rain thurs. so not sure how much I'll get done. And I'm putting on a charity event for a friend Saturday. So this weekend is gonna be very busy. But at the very least, I'll get pics up of any new parts or progress. We are shooting for pulling the truck on April 17th.

Cody, what are you using for a girdle on the low end to stop twisting?

carson has a pretty affordable girdle, if he can throw it in to the costs still I would do it just to be safe. It's much cheaper than all the other ones and would deffinetly be worth it IMHO, even if it meant skimpin on some top end chit for right now. That way it doesn't blow up a few months down the road and cause much more damage.

the plan is to run it. if it blows then Cody has several other blocks he can throw at it. the $800 or whatever Carson's girdle was isn't in Cody's budget i don't think. a girdle is always a good idea, but if it's not in the budget, then it's not in the budget.

It is NOT in the budget. I have already over shot my budget by $6000. I ordered my fluidampr $500, Fire Jacket $300, Picked up my new rear driveshaft with 1410 ujoints $300, all in the last 24hours. Oh, and another $100 worth of iron today too.

The budget is screwed big time. So no, a girdle is not in the budget. I've got probably 3 motors I can destroy before I need to worry about it. My money tree has officially caught fire. It needs time to recover. But I have all but 2 parts left to buy, and it's good to go.
