Well done on the tranny brother. yet another job the C O D Y was willing to take on that i would be very scared to do. LoL. glad you got it working again, but at least you had the power to break the input. i don't think mine would have the nutz to do it.
Man, you make right at 20hp and 100lb/ft more than me. The difference is I have twice the clutch, 3 times the traction, and weigh 1500lbs more.
And I don't know why you say you would be scared. You were right there with us when we took it apart. Yeah, there's a whole lot of "Oh S***" going on in there. But luck was on our side and we didn't have to get very deep into it. But the next one will be a full on rebuild.
Ya Travis I think it deffinetly has to do more with your lack of traction than not having the power to do so. Cody put it perfectly. Glad that you got the truck back on the road Cody, did you end up getting another transmission or just a new input shaft?
Keep in mind, I still need to build my draw bar height adjustment structure. That will tie all the rear frame supports together and tie the rear of the frame together. But we are moving along.
I also ordered my entire fuel system except the fuel cell from David over at Diesel Innovations. As well as some of their big push rods. I'm getting some 910 springs from Travis.
Air Dog II 130/75 (the 75psi unit w/filters)
Regulated return w/ all fittings and hoses.
He's custom tayloring it to my truck. I'm super excited about it. With any luck we will have the motor out next week and get all the go fast stuff put together.
that is some beautiful craftsmanship there Cody. Glad that the truck is comiing alone good. What size fuel cell are you going to go with and where are you planning on getting it from?
Nice work Cody! Those welds look great! I would have personaly used a stick welder with E6011 rod. It more because I'm better at stick then mig! LOL Any how i'm looking forward to seeing the engine pulled and moded.
Cody that all looks great. But I am starting to question why you even started with a Ford frame? LOL Heck you have pretty much built your own frame already.
Are you just nostalgic like that. LOL
That's some great fabwork there, Cody! Can't wait to see what BKP will do. If I were closer I'd love to help out a fellow New Mexican but 800 miles is a bit too far for a weekend joyride! I hope the progress continues to go well.
You mentioned the hitch. What are the regs on hitches for sled pulling? Do they have separate bumper pull and fiver classes?
Sorry to hear about Rockee too but that seems like only a minor setback for ya there.
