Cody, I will trailer your your truck up there for you.... all you gotta do is join the ride. I think we should all start poolin money to get Cody to all of the pullin events as he can, that way we can help get the point across that that the PSD is no longer messin around.
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Guys, there is more to it than just the fuel and money. I have a wife and triplet boys who despirately want my attention. And it's been quite a while since they've had it. So once April passes, I'm gonna slow down a bit. I appreciate the offers, believe me I do. But to be quite honest, down here in TX, pulling is a whole different ball game than in the heartland, or up north. Down here, in the super street class, I can compete. Up there, I'd get my azz handed to me every time. Joe and Ross will be the first to tell you that. Those guys have been competing with 7.3's way longer than me, and they know it's tough out there.
well family is more important... too bad you couldn't make this a family affair lol ... Oh well I think you might be able to do pretty well at riff raff lol... but I guess vids will do just fine man

how old are your boys? I bet they are a handfull
I have to agree if I was pulling to win all the time there is no way to do it with a 7.3 around here. I just do it to be differant and have a good time. I generaly run mid pack, but every once in a while I get a win depending on who shows up. I did manage to come in 2nd in points out of about 12 trucks with our organization last year though.
rumor has it there are some dodges around here that pull in the 2.6 class with me that are knocking on 800hp.
superstreet is prbably close to 1500hp at the big events.
you should try to make it up to schieds diesel extravenganze in augest though. its at terra hoat indiana. I'm planning on haveing my truck there. it'd only be about a 2000 mi round trip for ya
Well, I took the night off from work tonight so I could spend time on the puller. Today was very productive. Finised, and mounted the drive shaft loops.
And just when I thought it couldn't be much cooler......Front traction bars. These bars are all "hightechical" What we are lookin' at here is 4329 high nickel bars, with TSC pro-billet end links.... But to the layman, that is some galvanized pipe, and Tractor supply end links. LOL
HAHAHA thats awsome! Your front traction bars explanation gave me a good laugh. Trucks comin' right along now, all you need is a bed and the motor done and she'll be ready to eat some chummin's turds. What rpm are you planning on running in this thing? And when does it become a must to have the fluidamper? I've wanted one for a while but I don't know when its needed and I read something about something needed to be modified for it to fit, is that right?
A local engine builder here refuses to use the Fluidampr type dampners on pulling trucks. Says the weight in them keeps spinning (or something) when you drop from 3600 rpm to 600 rpm in a heart beat a thee end of the track. Says it's not good for the crank.
??
Drag trucks are fine, they keep spinning slowly down, but something about the momentum when pulling the sled isn't a good idea.
??
Me too.
So what rpm? I would imagine you'd be able to turn 4k or maybe a little higher.
Also, How much do you expect this monster to weigh?
Is there a weight limit?
That thing is really starting to get me excited!
Its looking pretty mean.
800HP cummins, that's it?!
In my area there are lots of guys that claim 1000+ HP.
And they put the 7.3, 6.0, and even modded 6.6 to SHAME!
Dave's Diesel has a cummins that I think is over 1200 HP.
Each time i saw it pull, it went at least 20ft farther than #2.
But in the pull off the second time, something broke.
