Yeah, they are real specific on hitch placement and height. No class that I know of for fivers, but pumper pulls, yes. 4x4 hitch height has to be 26" or less. The class I building the truck for, the only rules are that the hitch point has to be horizontal to the ground, and stabile in all directions. So my hitch/draw bar is mounted above my axle and will extend to 1" behind the tailgate.
Keep in mind, I still need to build my draw bar height adjustment structure. That will tie all the rear frame supports together and tie the rear of the frame together. But we are moving along.
I also ordered my entire fuel system except the fuel cell from David over at Diesel Innovations. As well as some of their big push rods. I'm getting some 910 springs from Travis.
Air Dog II 130/75 (the 75psi unit w/filters)
Regulated return w/ all fittings and hoses.
He's custom tayloring it to my truck. I'm super excited about it. With any luck we will have the motor out next week and get all the go fast stuff put together.
springs are here whenever we find a compressor, i can pull 'em off. think i need the keepers and retainers since they use the stock ones so i will have to find a nice place that i won't lose them, then maybe someday i will be able to afford to work on the PSD again.. i will try to get ahold of roy again to see if his compressor will fit the 910's. i think u will be happy with them, haven't even seen oil yet.
FYI, b***hinh truck man, I wish I even had a clue what your talking about. Always wanted to do a pull the truck in my avatar. But hey! I hope you don't get anymore hickups in your way
are you going to be able to run a stock imput shaft and bellhousing with that tripple disk? I talked to SBC about one breefly last year and they said they hadnt figured out how to fit one in a 5 speed yet

Welcome to FTE. glad to have another higher powered PSD over here.
yes, it should be the stock input and bellhousing, i think. at least it better be since he already has the bellhousing blanket and everything. i saw the discs that Dan is planning to use for Cody's triple and they are BADA$$. just like a grinding disc and it's going to be sweet watching him launch this thing.
Ross, Dan and Kevin are working on it at Valair. I took them a block with a crank in it, and tranny. I built stands for them so they can roll the motor and tranny together and apart at work height. So we'll see how far they can push the five speed. And I think Dan may just put another double disk together for me to get me going. But as soon as they nail the tripple disk, I'll let ya know. Does this mean you will switch to Valair if we can get the tripple done for the 5 speed?
we'll see how this year goes for the both of us, I went through 2 sbc dual disks last year, it was probably mostly my fault but I dont want to have to do that again. I should have upgraded to a bigger one or feramic facing when I got the second one but money was tight at the time.
the dodge guys really seam to like the tripples so hopefully somebody will get one working for us
not to derail but how do I fill out a signiture on here?
Sounds like he needs a Valair if he's burnin though the SBC's. hehehe.
.
the first one was a couple years old and had quite a few hooks. it was still holding but felt funny, I pulled it down to work on some other stuff and it didn't look to pretty. so I sent it off for a rebuild.
the second one lasted about 7 hooks and would'd reliece any more.
I was haveing some RPM issues and was having trouble getting the turbo to light so I was slipping the clutch pretty hard to get going.
SBC even replaced the ring gear because It was blue. I still say I should have lasted longer but whats done is done. I am alitte woried about this one because I made several hooks on it before we got the rpm thing straightend out but it still feels ok so we'll see what happens.
