Those welds look like crap. My sixteen year old nephew can weld better than you.
And he's never welded.
Just givin' you a hard time, Looking good though lol. Have you tried it out yet?
ya know...i weld a lot with the miller 250 at the shop and i get pretty good welds with that beast, but considering the welder i used in that pic is a little no name 110 mig i only use maybe once or twice a month, it takes a bit to get used to it again lol...i will admit im no pro welder, but i weld better than that given decent equipment

like i said....need linkage and front driveshaft LOL...got my shifter bent to the right today so it wont be sticking into my leg while driving...hopefully...never got a chance to bolt it all up and make sure it still fits...
i did get some material for my shift linkage...got some 1/4 round stock ... that should be strong enough for a shifter linkage...the only other round stock i had was like 1/2...thats overkill even to my standards...so it was either the 1/4 or some rebar LOL
Oh yeaaaah.. you need a front driveshaft.....
You should probably get around to that.
Sheesh your lazy.
yes, yes i am ... but the brokeness doesnt help much either...

i was going to...then i found the round stock and though that would look cleaner...well if i use the 250 and avoid the chicken **** welds it will LOL
i was going to use that round stock and a few small pieces of like 1x1 angle iron and make it up...i have a vision...you will see...eventually...i still need to remember to get the damn pice of steel to cover up the speedo hole in my t-case...well i guess i dont have ot worry about dirty oil, its never int here long enough
i had a plastic plug that fit in there but it wasnt snug...i used that and silicon, either the silicon was still wet and it wasnt completely sealed in or there a lot of pressure in there...guess ill find out soon enough...if the 3/16 piece of steel i have bolted/siliconed in there blows out something is very wrong hahaha...knowing my luck ill probably start blowing seals
i got the shifters in the truck now...still working on the linkage though, i was working on it saturday then i was rudely interrupted by a bunch of friends...that coincidentally had a lot of liquid happy on hand ... it all went downhill from there LOL ... for some reason there was a dart stuck in my roof this morning???
If your plate bolted on blows off, you probably shouldnt' be wrenching on things lol.
There's supposed to be a little gear on a cable in there. I'm not sure why there would be a lot of pressure. I'll bet your plug just fell out lol.
why dont you just cut the end off a speedo cable and bolt it in?
Whatever you do the plate or whatever needs a tight seal to the Tcase. The last thing you want is water running in the gear box every time it sees a little mud.

too late lol...for whatever reason it did not come with the speedo...and i didnt feel like paying for one when the small piece of steel was free...that was the biggest problem...i can live with oil blowing out of there but its whats getting in there thats gonna cause problems...its fixed, now i gotta get some good oil in it...good thing all i had on hand was cheap stuff
friday im gonna get me front drive shaft/ u-joints and yokes...and by then i should have my linkage built...then i just need to have a boot made...i have the shifters in with the stock boot for now, but i want a boot that will actually seal both shifters
