for those who are reading this and saying WE WANT A WRITE UP!....google is your friend...search twin stick NP-205 there has to be half million freakin write ups
just letting peoples know they are out there...and where they are...so i dont have to make one...cause i didnt get very great pics and im done ripping that damn thing appart haha
still havent located the tranny...and i get my input/output seals and hopefully shifter drive shaft and new u joints for it friday...i gotta find a driveshaft that will fit...shall be fun...i should probably start looking for one
hopefully next week during test week when i have the time lol
trying to locate a rollover my buddy know about...he called the owner but the number is out of service...workin on it...and there one other guy i wanna check with who has a ton of old fords even some old ford tow trucks...hes bound to have a zf somewhere in that pile...just gotta convince him they are worthless and he should give it to me LOL
looks like i wil lbe putting that 205 in on the 28th...i just gotta find another shifter and a driveshaft and make all the u joints fit haha
well why the hell do i keep you around then? LMAO jks man...your worthless to me...errr...uhhhh...i mean...priceless LOL
just kiddin man...you make a good pet
anywhoor got my seals today...probably get unlazy and actually put them in tomorrow...
does anyone know off the top of their head a driveshaft that will work? proper size u joints the slip joint ect. ect... someone else has to have done this swap lol
i dont have enough time to go look i gotta know what im looking for first if i am to find one by the 27th
also with this swap there is no way to hook up the 4x4 dash lights is there? just wondering cause i didnt see anytihng on the case...
i dont trust myself to weld a driveshaft...and i dont trust anyone but a shop to do it...if they **** it up i can sue them LOL
ill get a price quote monday maybe...i can cut the shafts myself they just have to weld and possibly balance
and it looks like i will be...gotta figure out if im gonna need that adaptor i had in the first few pics but i dont think so, that looks like its from the back of an auto tranny? t-case is goin in on the 28th with or without the tranny
ill see if i can get that bronco driveshaft and maybe rear end yoke and hopefully the yoke fits on my rear diff...if they are both 8.8 diffs they shoud fit cause the pinion gear is the same i think...then the shaft needs to be made longer
so let me see here...to-do list
build shift linkage
build rear driveshaft (front should work still?)
build t-case mount so it doesnt slaughter my M5OD
find/make a twin stick shifter boot
Step one, remove old t-case, step two, hold 205 mounting gasket on the back of your trans, and mark out the spot for the rear output shift rail. Step three, cut out notch for the rear output shift rail. Step 4. Bolt up 205 to your existing trans, and make shif levers....
yeah yeah yeah i get it i get it...i know the mounting will be fine...something just looks like the linkage will not bolt up to the tranny...i havent really looked in a while
