I was suprized as hell that I filled my return, and a week later I had the $. I ordered enough stuff to rebuild the whole rear axle, now ujoints for the front, and gears front and back for under $550. Sweet deal. What size gears did u choose?
Cheaper through Broncograveyard. I payed right about $140 a end for ring and pinions, and a trac lock is about $290. And u can always repack it with a extra disk for more lockup.
thing is i am very limited to where i can buy from down there...shipping to up here is brutal and im "underage" so no credit card or paypal and most places wont accept anything else
the one on the left is for the front of the drive shaft, it will fit fine just like it is, and that is how it looks right out of the box
the one in the middle is the one i created for the rear, as you can see all four caps are the same with the grooves in them, the one on the right is the spare now, that is the joint that donated its two groved caps to the joint in the middle...
so i took my digital caliper and measured up the yoke on the diff and through simple math and measurements/compariosons i have determined this u-joint (the one in the middle) will work just fine...beauty!
to me they look like 1330s, the one on the left is a commom one to have at the axle with the U bolt style yoke. the two caps without the groves are a tinny bit thicker to keep them from getting crushed when titening the u bolts.. the middle one you "made" is a "strait up" 1330, and the one on the left is a useless "b-a-s-t-a-r-d" now....
Hmm, I just took my parts to a driveshaft guy, handed them to him, and said "find me a u joint that works" - all that fancy digital caliper stuff sounds like a lot of work
