hawgs are not the best tire out there..... but lots of people like them.. Pauls tires are not the best ones out there, but lots of people like them, my tires arnt the best out there but lots of people like them. You can never find the best tire, because all situations are different.
but yes 4.9 + 35 hawgs + 3.50 gears = ghay
i've only had one set of wranglers and i thought they sucked. i've had a few sets of hawgs, 1 set of gumbo mudders, as well as a set of boggers. i liked the hawgs way the f. better than the boggers. they don't grip backwards at all. but then again, mud is different in different places. i have 38's with 3.55's so i can atest to his trucks gheyness, at least i have a bigblock and granny 5spd to offset homogears
hmm weird cause your tires and truck are pegging teh gheydar meter
at least my tries arent available at the local wal-mart

just another v8 zombie...i have two 302s and a 350...and id take my 300 over any of them any day...until you actually drive one you can never truely understand...neither of my 302s would roll them 35s like that 300 does...no chance in hell, and they are bigger engines with 2 more cylinders

which ones dont grip in reverse? ive never had a problem backing up with my hawgs in mud or snow...the hawg is by far the best tire ive owned
oh BTW my 4.56 R&P gears will be here the end of the week hopefully and i picked up my lock rite today...sooooo....stuff it LOL
boggers don't grip in reverse a$$jack!!!! i said it in another thread and i'll say it again. groundhawgs are the best all terrain tire ever made. i love em', and for a guy like me who doesn't have a trailer to haul my truck to play time, hawgs are great because they won't go bald in 7k miles on the road, and in all fairness to paul, he has the old military wranglers not the new superhomogheyified wranglers your thinking of

ground hawgs an all terrain tire? LMFAO they do great in all terrains but they are FARRRRRR from an all terrain tire...but i agree my rig is my DD with a 50 mile commute almost every day sometimes twice a day im am very impressed with how well my hawgs are holdin up...boggers would be half gone by now
main reason i wouldnt run a bogger is the lack of lateral traction...get sideways on a slippery slope and youre F***ed and i find a lot of those in the mountains

wellll okay thats acceptable haha...but theyre still wranglers
He was sayin the 300 has more power, and the 30turd has 2 more cylinders.
And yes, I have driven my fair share of 300s. I still would rather have a V8 anyday. For one, more potential, two, the sound of a 6 is rediculous. A V8 has a much better sound to them.
I6=low end tq to make up for homogears. if it were a dd truck i'd go i6 too. why the hell are the truck 302's so weak and chitty? whenever someone mentions i need more power for my 302, the first reply is always headswap, new cam, and regear your axles.

the 302 in trucks have a lot of restriciton especially in the heads and intake...the mustang 302s are much more open from factory...you can make pretty impresive gains by getting an intake from a mustang in a junkyard and slapping it in your truck

technically the 302 has more power and torque (not by much in the torque department) its just the 300 doesnt need to wind up to like 5k to achieve those numbers....thats why i like it
I6s sound like very pissed off tractors when you straight pipe em...my trucks a hunting truck so it needs to stay quiet anyway...
and who gives a **** about what it sounds like, all i care about is the fact that my inline 6 has about 245k miles and you would never know it, it still easily outpulls my 302s one of which has less than 100k miles the other has about 186k miles...they all have 3.55s but the inline 6 does it with 35s the other two have tires under 28"
not to bash the 302 its a good little engine but i believe it belongs in small light mustangs...i think the 300 is a tougher better engine any day...im gonna drop one of my 302s for a 351 one day, in the 92 f150 hopefully...but the 300 is staying in the truck that actually has to perform daily and work hard
i straight piped my 460 because the boggers were too loud to hear the pipes, then i had to cut off the cat, because it still wasn't loud enough to hear. it was my first efi truck, and i didn't know wtf a cat did, so i left it till last. i love the sound of a nice loud controlled exhaust, jagoffs with stock motors and straight pipes **** me off though. rackety, plain and simple. sounds like chit and doesn't help your motor at all. i must say that modified's sound sweet, but not as sweet as a big block. does anybody know if you can still buy torque tubes anymore? i'm an old school glasspack guy

hawgs whip by-*** wranglers hands down. i'm broke, and i'd never buy a set. i know they're cheap, but wtf! they were in action for desert storm, sand. we go back to the desert, and they get replaced
