why would that break stuff....0.05 of a gear off...whoopie ****, think that makes a difference in 3 feet of snow...no
3.50 and 3.55 the different is only noticeble on dry ground...and i did that once to make sure it was the t-case that was ****ed again...not something else
LOL
i wasn't referring to so much the difference in the gears as to the fact that your running 35' tires on such high gears, that has to be putting a ton of extra stress on your whole drive train, but then again, you say you always drive with your hubs locked, so if that turns yours t-case (i think it does anyway lol) that .05 over time will build up alot of stress? ah heck i say just throw that ttb back in there and all this foolishness will go away
300 love it lol...its power ratings are between 1500 and 1800 RPM so i got pretty good torque taking off and honestly i didnt feel a difference on the clutch...its the hiway end of things that suffered

i dont think the low gearing would add stress, if anything i think itd reduce it...like the t-case, which are you more likely to break parts in 4hi or 4lo? the higher hearing helps more torque make it out to the wheels...id say its more the weight of the tires that is puting the extra stress on the drivetrain....JMO though
Wouldn't the higher gearing be putting less torque to the wheels?
yeah my bad typo
thats what i meant though...35's and 3.55s is like having really high gearin (2.48 is my ACTUAL ratio...ouch LOL) so thats putting less torque to the wheels and less stress on the rest right...
i meant to say lower gearing (but numerically higher ) would put more torque to the wheels and more stress on the rest of the drivetrain
a fire breating 300 :P truck hardly notices that combination in the bottom 3 gears, the only problem is at highway speeds where i lacks power just a wee bit lol
ya know what kris...a guy at school (actually a distantish relative but i usualy dont admit to that LOL) has a 78/79 150 4x4 SWB with 33's and he has 460 and auto and he is always telling me to get a 460 too...pft im keeping my 300, i dont need a big engine cause i dont have to make up for a lacking in another certain department LOL cough*****extensioncough
well ill give you credit for that one that was pretty quick...kinda like you..or so i hear LOL
i got my t-case today, looks in good shape, cant wait to tear into it...heavy bitches arent they, im mean considering their size they are very deceptive LOL...looks all light and fluffy, well no...probably comparable in weight to that d44 solid axle i got, and i still dont know exaclty how i managed to get either out of the back of my truck myself witout breaking stuff LOL
i think it might have oil in it too...probably didnt help much
pics or it didnt happen
it says 79 bronco on it, i thought they only came with the 203?, oh well, looks liek a 205 to me...now i get to twin stick it and replace some seals and inspect everything then hopefully in 2 weeks get my ZF to go in front of it
