Hey, I remember seeing that on craigslist. Did you just buy it or decide not to sell it?
The chevy wheels actually look pretty good on there. That would be an awesome truck to drive in the summer for MPG. I'm eventually getting an '89 F250 7.3 2wd, but the guy that has it wants to find a different truck before he sells it.
update with: 8'W X 9'L Flat Bed w/Rack & Dump - Electric Over Hydraulic.
progress of flatbed installation.
set on and bolted,so i can pass inspection & drive it to have it welded on.
this headboard came with the bed.tough i wont be using it much.i'l keep it,and remove the big rack, and toss it on,if i go for long trips with the truck.
i have the complete rack that i'l have on it for working.but still lifting it with a jack for installation.will install the pump tomorrow.once its all complete,i'l set the rack on and snap more pics.don't wont all that extra weight on it right now.so just tossed the metal front headboard on for the pic.
looks a little better than with that old rusted stock bed hey?
(couple additional pics added to the garage for those who want to take a peek.)
(that's just one of the hydraulic lines connected to the piston/ram hanging there as the pump's not set in yet.and yeah,i know that bumper needs to be set back, she wont dump with it there.)
thanks.
oh,they fell apart when i took 'em off to inspect/fix brakes.
the outer metal rim that holds them to the wheel just rotted away,so i tossed 'em.this spring im gunna get a set of chrome ones from a salvage yard.
Looks pretty good on there, but You have to do something about thay 55 gallon drum you have for a muffler now. lol
What kind of weight do you typically haul seems like if you load the back of the bed it may get the front end light.
