I was telling him to calm down on his remark about super duty diesels being "toy" diesels. So I wasn't being rude or anything. But I love seeing mods looking out for mods. Smh.
I've used the term toy diesels for years and when talking to other RVers face to face and most agree with me. One of the couple's we travel with went to a Frieghtliner Business class to get a real diesel after he got tired of his 6.0 Ford but most of us don't want that big of a truck so we are stuck with what the big 3 have. Me personally don't want the hassle that comes with a diesel.

I wish I had one of these toy diesels cause every truck I've had gas or diesel I used for everything and not just for fun.
Heh stroker. It's still goofy to try and claim the 6.2 is a oil consuming engine. You can post as many random screenshots as you want. You're still wrong though.

Update, I was headed east through west Texas pulling the space shuttle, NASA radioed me, telling me to slow down, the shuttle was getting lift off. So far, I haven't had to add a drop of oil, and I'm averaging 9.5 mpg. The only hitch we had was a 6.7 chase truck dropped a valve, so we just hooked it behind the shuttle.

The 6.2s are infamous for burning oil, dunno what planet you're on. Just Google 6.2 ford oil consumption, won't need to go any further. It's a relatively new engine, with a rather old"esque" reputation of burning oil. It's like dating the girl who seems great; she's hot, has no kids, good in the sack...but then you find out she's "been with" 50 guys before you.
6.2 oil consumption.. mine has 150,000 miles.. just did 1,800 miles towing 9,500 pound trailer AND 1,500 in bed of truck
in 80 plus degree weather.. not a drop of oil used.. or any other fluid.
but it does use a little on short trips.. like 10 miles or less.
Carry On, Carry Over, ...
So because YOURS doesn't burn oil doesn't mean all 6.2's don't. They do cause I've seen it on my truck and on many trucks on this forum, Facebook truck groups, and from owners I know personally. It's a known fact they are oil burners.
Oil consumption is not something that plagues every owner of a particular engine....I had a Honda 2.4 that burned enough oil to get a replacement engine on an extended warranty (or lawsuit). A small percentage of 2.4 owners burned lots of oil, the auto industry rates engines by "problems per hundred", or an easy percentage calculation. Just because you don't burn oil, doesn't mean it's not an issue with a particular engine that you have. Like I said, Google 6.2 ford oil consumption.
