No dog in this fight but my 07 Expedition 5.4 4x4 EB EL gets 22mpg average for highway running 100% stock. Averaged 22.2 from Memphis to Olean NY. Set the cruise to 65mph and that was it.

Glad they reopened this thread, nothing like getting some laughs over something as petty as an engine in a truck.

Me too! I love the comedy in here. Sure it gets a little far sometimes but still mild compared to some of the other threads I see.

At the scales my truck with all my normal crap and a full tank weighs 8100 lbs. You diesel haeds may get past me after 70-75, but not before. It takes too long for your turbo's to build boost while my V-10 is gone, done this many times with red-light runs. All those mods you guys do to your newer engines means no warranty, so if you can take that chance, more power to ya, sucker.

I didn't have a 100k warranty either, but I didn't need any warranty as my truck has never been in the shop and I'm currently at 91,5xx miles.

I hope he enjoys his low teens mpg and 200 rwhp even with those mods. But yeah I'm the sucker. LMAO
Let us know how that goes when they won't give your truck an inspection inspection sticker or tags because its not street legal.

His truck made well over 200 rwhp out the the factory.

Not all places are full of tree hugging hippies inspecting every vehicle for emissions.

Your's is a 450 so you're right you won't get 20 mpg out of yours. Mine is a SRW 350 with 3.55 gears. Your truck probably has 4.30's or 4.88 gears which kills the mpg. Plus do you still have your DPF on your truck?

Sure no problem. I'll even take a pic of the new inspection stickier when it comes up next may. Then what will you have to say? LOL You do realize not all states care if you have the DPF on or not.

How is it that your truck weighs over 1,000 lbs more than my crew cab? I've scaled mine and it's 7,000 even. Also, drive a diesel sometime, no turbo lag at all, zero, zip, nada. Please stop posting, you're making all us V10 guys seem like liars...

Well, once everyone realize that the diesel is superior to the v-10 engine this thread would be no more. I mean the guys at ford realize that they don't need to sell the v-10 anymore in the 250 and 350 cause it's a gas hog. When the new v-8 makes more power and 40 less pounds of tq and gets better mpg what is the purpose of the v-10 today? And I know they sell the v-10 in the 550's and up but how many of those do you actually see on the road. I haven't seen one in the Dallas area yet.
