not a fridge, but a one of those long frezzers where the top opens, cant think of the correct name. Wasn't to bad, just flipped it in basically,Stood it on one end then layed it over into the bed, picked up the other side and slid it in. Only problem was that i dint think it through and lifted the compressor side. I lifted an 8?gallon air compressor in the back the other day. I think it was an 8, its about 4.5 feet tall. Anything bigger, and ill just use the forklift.
I have picked up a dayton spoke with a drum bolted to it off a trailer and put it in the back of my work truck by myself. It was a 20" spoke. Semi truck drivers know what I'm talking about. Over 250lbs, and awkward. Won't do that again.
my V10 can smoke its tires like you would not believe , so then they go to the guys with the 5.4s!
Not me, I buy a $4 can of bug spray.
you diesel guys realize that when you are "rollin coal" you look as immature as the 17 yr old with a rice rocket and a coffee can muffler.
Or the kid with a rusty civic, with patchwork body panels, and a mismatched body kit with a dented door, and a cracked bumper.
yup, you are cool.
seriously, anyone who actually knows anything about diesels knows that is pure automotive masturbation, not to mention a waste of fuel, any potentially damaging to the engine. (egt's)
Im a rigger, so i carry heavy stuff all day. The lightest thing we carry is cribing, which is just blocks of wood. After that would be are small skates, which are like 40 lbs a piece. The 2 1/2 foot skates way around 300. We had a competition the other day with a big foam filled bobcat tire and wheel, an easy 350 a piece. I was able to stand up with it, but couldnt get it in the back of the pickup, to awkward. lol
Not anymore, Paccar is coming out with their own line of engines, I'm not sure for which model year. But you are correct in that they used to be just cummins painted gray.
It really wouldnt matter what i say, you disagree, thats what makes it fun.lol When you say bigger then 6 are you talkin just fords, or dodges too, cuz a 6 on a dodge is only like an inch shorter then a ford with an 8? My truck will always be better then yours and your "girlie" truck will always be better then mine.lol How is it to high to work with? I can work on mine just fine.
I never said mine was better than yours, nor did I say anything about a dodge. You sir, are a fine example of a "ford truck enthusiast".
I'm very aware of who requires them and why they did it. I never argued that. All I was trying to say was that that intentionally blowing soot into someone's car is the kind of thing that gets people pissed off at diesel pickups...which is great for making someone support ANY legislation that would prevent this in the future...
To those of you who enjoy "smoking" other vehicles, did you ever consider that it is a health concern for some people? One of the big reasons I don't own a PSD is because my wife is asthmatic, and diesel exhaust is a real irritant........
The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference, and undernourishment. - Robert Hutchins.
I saw a idiot in a Dodge Cummins get pulled over very quickly by law enforcement after he rolled smoke at a intersection.............The cop was NOT amused.
Some folks being a little less courtious to others with their blowing smoke does give diesel owners a black eye just as kids with crotch rockets do when they go speeding down the highway. What about kids with the rice burners, should we ban all rice burners? (well, perhaps. But that's another thread) Or the ones with the car stereos that you can hear and feel the house shake when they drive buy. I would not support banning any of it, but I would support the police going after the folks that are breaking the law and being disrespectful of others. Having said that, I have smoked tailgaters, and folks trying to pass me on the right. They back off.
